Good placement of neck, could be maybe a titch longer. Lovely forechest. Needs a longer upper arm.
I'd like to know how old the bitch is in this picture, as she's fading through the saddle, but that could be all the farther she'll go, in which case I am not so bothered by it.

Black and tan female GSD of good type, good proportions, good substance, dry, medium strong and medium size. Very good expression, very good head, earset and head planes. Strong neck of good length, high long withers, a strong back that has slight curvature, good length of a steep croup, good tail and tailset. Deep rear angulation, good hocks and feet, nice underline, stands straight in the front, good front angulation, front upper arm could use little more length, very good shoulder blade lay back and soft pasterns. Allover a very beautiful correct medium size female.

This is my female. I stacked her incorrectly, but I'd like to get a critique on her as well. I will reply with a better image later.

That´s the most unfavorable pic of a dog I´ve seen for a long time ...
Seems to be a good looking youngster, though...
Do me a personal favor and (please) post a better pic, people might believe this dog is totally messed up ( and she isn´t ).

To learn the art of Critiquing a dog one must know and understand the following:
a) The Standard. ( The form required to carry out the function.),
While the standard remains the same, the criteria required for participation in the the various sports, i.e. is different.
TO ME
In writing a critique writing one must always be positive.Just remember there is no perfect dog.
Every dog has virtues (strengths) and weaknesses.
How much, is the deviation from the standard.
"Correct" means as the standard requires.
"Very good ' means very close to the standard requirement.
"Good" , means a bit more deviated than very good.
"Acceptable", means a bit more deviated than good.
"Bad" has no place in critique writing execept probably where temperament is concerned.
Even than we ,ask the handler to remove the dog, and say,' poor temperament'.
Always critique what you see before you, as compared to the requirment in the standard, not any other dog or not what you think it will be.
Here again always remember a live speciment will differ from a photograph.
