What OFF breeds have you seen doing IPO - Page 1

I have been watching several videos over the last week.... on vacation and had some spare time  in-between working my dogs. Anyways, this brings me to my question... or I should say curiousity ..

What not so popular breeds do you have pictures or videos of doing IPO. This is EXCLUDING the GSD, Rott, Mali and Dobi..

I've got pics of an American Bulldog.

I know someone who does IPO with their Aussies, but I don't have any pics or videos of it.

American bulldogs are quite popular here for IPO. As a matter of fact, a breeder even hosted a local trial last year!

Our club had a Russian terrier (looked like a bouvier) but the owner has now changed clubs, so I don't know how the dog is doing. And, of course, bouviers are fairly common in the sport. Our TD took his bouvier to an IPO 3.

Another member had a mixed breed that was probably border collie x shepherd. It did great on its BH, but lacked the drive for protection  work.

Smooth Fox terrier

Crash, is that a Cardigan in you sig? I've always thought they looked kind of like GSDs with short legs...

And then, of course, there's Mr. Murphy!  This is one of my all-time favourite videos. The coolest thing about it is the dog is so obviously enjoying what he's doing.

I asked Claudia if she ever titled Mr. Murphy. She said she tried, but he just couldn't manage the dumbbell retrieve.   It was too heavy for him.

From a long time ago - there was 2 Pits and a Golden X  in the first club that I belonged to.  I was training my Belgian Tervuren and Bouvier.  I have worked a Standard Poodle in PP-type work, now that was what we called a "sleeper" dog (like sleeper car, for anyone familiar with the term), at least the poodle had a puppy cut and not one of those fancy show cuts, lol.    Also, Pierre Lafond in WA state had trained a Daschund in Ring-type work, it was hilarious to see that little dog hanging off the suit butt.

Sun - that Fox Terrier performance is wonderful & hilarious, thanks for posting.     I have a pic somewhere of the Dacshund hanging off the butt of the suit pants but don't know where, and unfortunately no video from other non-standard breeds, as we didn't take video back then.

I love it, too, Koots. BTW, Murph was a Jack Russell terrier. I think he was a rescue, and he was definitely a real PITA until Claudia taught him schutzhund to drain his excess energy. She used to have his story on her website, but I can't find it now.

Oh, thanks for the correction on the breed - should have known that from his structure.   Sounds like the JR named "Moose" that played "Freddie" on Frasier, he was a rescue and needed a job to do for the same reasons (if I remember correctly).
