Just watching the Herding Group at Westminster. I am not a conformation person, although I did show my Belgian Tervuren in a few shows a long time ago, and decided it wasn't my cup of tea. Regardless, I am curious about the big show and am wondering what others would choose for the Herding Group winner. I find it really difficult to judge the coated breeds so wouldn't even hazard a guess as to their adherence to breed standard. Curiuosly of all the Belgian dogs, I observed the Tervuren to be the one least concerned with the judge, and to have the nicest movement. My choice for the group would have been the Beauceron for his build, movement and seeming unconcern for the judge's examination (that's about the extent that I could ascertain temperament from the show). So, what breed would you have picked for that group, and why?
Please, no bashing, just your personal evaluation and reasons for your pick of group.

I'd have put up the GSD for her beautiful breed type and smooth gait plus I'm prejudiced toward the breed. . I've met her and she has a very sound temperament. I always love it when any GSD does anything positive that the public sees. The entire breed benefits.

Blitzen of course it is all over now but I really like Rumor also. I think she was very nice and a stunning example of the brees. I also know and like Kent a lot and I believe he is a very serious breeder. I also liked the Beauceron very very nice dog..................
