There were several GSD's competing in open and utility in the Master's Class. This is the video of the open 24 inches jump height.

BTW the black GSD working in the next ring at the start of the video is competing in the utility class and is doing the scent descrimination exercise.

Thank you, Blitzen - I took a look at several videos - it´s a totally different world...

Thanks for posting. I use to do AKC OB when I had a Sheltie. I went all the way thru UD with her. I got a CD on my first GSD. This winter I plan on doing some AKC OB and well as Rally.

The judges at the classic were really tough. Gabe was measured 2 times, both judges thought he was too tall to be in the 24" jump class. He's a dog that has a UDX2 and many agility titles yet they still thought he was in the wrong class, he wasn't. You might have noticed in  the video that the judge suspended his the retrieve over the jump because she didn't like the dumbell and sent his owner out to get another. One exhibitor with a GSD, an OB judge herself, was shocked that she ended up with 45 point deduction when she thought her dog had qualified with a mid 170. Gabe lost 4 1/2 points for 2 crooked sits.  It was an invitational and a nice honor to qualify and be invited, but there was so much stress involved and most of the owners were so competive that it wasn't a whole lot of fun IMO.

Blitzen, do you know the name of the black WL GSD (the third dog in the linked video)? She looks exactly like a dog my breeder kept back from a breeding she did in 2008; I know one of the female pups was placed in FL with a woman who did OB, I am just curious if it is the same dog.

Thanks for posting the link, btw.

That black dog was bred by the owner/handler.

Susie, no obedience trials in Germany?

OK; thanks Blitzen. Maybe similar bloodlines accounts for the strong resemblance.
