First attempt at stacking him. He isn't very cooperative as he is always in motion. 9 months old.

I like the head and top line, nice pigment. I wish I could see his pasterns/ paws and the line of his croup without the fur stuck up on it.

I will try to get one on pavement next weekend. He was wet from spilling water in his crate and the way he lays against the crate makes his fur stand up on his back end. I will try to keep him dry before the next attempt.
Thank you for the critique.

Uncommonly nice shoulder for working line dog...for any line dog, actually, but all the more so for him being working lines, since they tend toward the straighter shoulder.

Hexe: Thank you. Still working on getting him to stay in a stack. Hoping to enter him in our club conformation trial in November, so am curious on how he will do.

I suggest ring train then do it some more. I would love to see more working lines in the ring, but in order to have good results ring training and proper handling is very important. I would love to see moderate structures packed in the ring. My showline male moves well, but requires those in front of him to actually run instead of shuffling their feet to look like the are running to be able to show it off. the dogs are getting slower in ring IMO and I think that is why the dogs look good doing it that have a high wither to top of croup ratio. In a large bunched up class I never noticed it, but last two shows were smaller attendance and with four dogs there should be no reason the class never moves at a full run.
It shows you believe in your dog and respect for the dog to be ring trained very well and it will help greatly. I hate ring training and have to say it is my least favorite activity in dogs, however a very important part. The stack to me, is the easy part. I have seen some dogs I thought gorgeous and nice movers go to the end because of no ring training.
