I couldn't tell which end I was looking at before, but right about now, there is hooting going on, and head turning and what seems to be a dead white mouse laying there next to her tail? I can see her eyes and yellow ear tufts when she turns her head, as she responds with a hoot. This is obviously a man made nesting box.
Oh, and now... what is that noise? Chuffing?

BT, I thought you might like mamma owl and her babies.
Yesterday the babies were making all kinds of noise. Probably feeding time? This morning all is quiet. I thought i was just seeing a picture but mom finally turnrd her head and ruffled a few feathers. I see the dead mouse now. Yum. ioi

Momma owl (Ms Harvey) is starting to recognize me now. She popped her head up and started looking around as soon as I logged on this morning.lol She's a bit more active now. I'm pretty sure she was tending to her babies last night, at least she was doing something underneath as she sat on her nest. I'm looking forward to checking on Ms Harvey everyday. Not too often you can watch an owl up close and personal raising her babies.
