Help choosing a digital camera

I need some help picking out a Digital Camera. All I have is the camera on my cell phone at the moment so its time to get a real camera.

I'll be honest I can take decent pictures, edit pictures, etc... but when it comes to buying said camera, I'm doomed...I need some serious help with this.

Here's what I'm looking for:
One that takes good-great still shots
Takes decent video and action shots
Doesn't come with a phone-book thick manuel to even use the darn thing
Battery life doesn't matter to me my wife carries extra batteries in her purse
HAS to be under $130 US dollars but preferably $100 and less

Except it costs little more then $100 :) Which was one of the conditions.

Hans is right, I am looking to spend $130 or less. Thanks for the suggestions it might just be worth it for me to save up and get a decent one rather than buying what I can afford NOW.

I got my mom a great Sony at Costco; I paid about $100 for it, though it retails for much more. If you have a membership, check out what cameras they have currently. They always have great deals.
