Kalibeck

All along the Susquehanna River there is major flooding, houses are being washed down the river, & there is much suffering. Our wonderful veterinary surgeon's office is under water, I'm sure his patients were evacuated as they knew this was coming, but still, his office & building were brand new. The local news station just showed an arial veiw of Plains, Pa, where his office is.....all with water up to the rooftops. And there are homes & businesses on fire & exploding due to gas leaks. WBRE is covering these sad events, historic flooding. The levees that hold back the river are giving way.....leaking every where! 65,000 people evacuated.

And towns alomg the Lehigh, Schullkyl(sp?), & Delaware are under threat as well. I am thankful I live on a hill, but these poor people & their animals...the college town of Bloomsburg is under water.

Prayers, please, for these folks. Prayers that the next storm rains on Texas where they need it. No more for us, thank-you! jackie harris

Ya it's bad over here. There's that much rain fall our mountains can't even cap the flow of natural springs. It's is serious, this is epic in my life time. I've never seen water bust out the top of a mountain because the springs below are to FULL !!!! The pressure is amazing.

Glad we did what we did after Irene with the downed trees and channeling of water, we saved everyone below us from being washed out. Now I'm worried about a mudslide, God forbid a mudslide to happen.

I dunno if you can see this link .. but it's worth a look.

Although I see kids in the cities are having field days in what they are calling "water world city". There's alot of people blogging showing pictures of their children just being happy playing in all the water. It's bringing everyone together actually. Good Samaritians are cleaning up the roadways and plans already to rebuild the swallowed up bridges. I love everybody !!

I'm so proud of my hometown, no matter what crisis or disaster happens there's always a positive, always. The people stick together and are proactive, the kids continue about their adventures, the authorities don't allow anyone here who doesn't belong here. Life is good.

We lost one person to Tropical Storm Lee in my area so far, his name is Handy Mohammed, he tried to cross a bridge in his truck as the Swatara was rising, he couldn't so he got outta his truck, he tripped and fell due to force of water. He was last seen on Rt 72 @ the Swatara crossing when 2 good samaritian tried to pull him from the waters but lost grip.

If anyone has seen Handy Mohammed please call the PSP at 717-865-2194

I'll post pictures of flooding in a little while.

Here's some pictures I took yesterday after the rain finally stopped from a local town. Seitztown aka Lebanon. I have so many I'd be here all day, but he are some.

A road believe it or not. You can see how deep looking at the road signs far off.

Snitz creek bridge.

Another Snitz creek bridge.

Another Snitz Creek bridge.

This here is another bridge for Snitz creek (mentioned below) with a 15 foot drop. Not anymore.

This here one below used to be Snitz creek with maybe at best 4 foot of water and at best 7 foot wide before Lee.

A road.

Another road.

Met-Ed Parking lot.

Here's a picture of the two Buffalo that were PTS @ the Hershey Zoo.    I still think they should have just let them go to higher ground, it's not like they could have left the Zoo. I'm angry about this, I wrote a letter.

This is in Annville. The Swatara Creek used to be the Swatara River in the 1800's .. I think we should change it back to it's original name.

Palmyra.

Jonestown.

This is where Handy Mohammed was last seen Rt 72 @ Swatara crossing near Jonestown. This picture is from today.
