If someone bought you a lotto ticket for your birthday and you won, say $5 mill, would you feel obligated to share with that person, and how much?

Sure, I'd share, something. Now, the amount would depend on if we were related, perhaps. I think a gift means we are not obligated to share, but I sure would be appreciative. And I am the kind to show it, and am not particularly greedy. Got to remember too, who's paying those taxes, LOL

Okaaaay, I'll take you to the beer store, AND buy you a case. How's that? Must be Lucky's though,,,

(I think that is the cheapest stuff sold here, not sure as I don't drink beer!)

Seriously, yes, if I won 5 million, I'd give them a million. Honestly. I'd do fine with 4 million. Afterall, it is 4 million more than I have now!

The nice thing about winning the lottery in Canada is there is no taxes. You get the whole amount.

That is what I've heard, maybe I'll get to test it out sometime.

If they do give us the whole amount, it is only because they gouge us everywhere else.

If I won a lottery, the first thing I'd do is take a vacation to get away from everyone. When I got back from the vacation, I'd buy them all nice new homes in my name. That way, if they piss me off, I can kick them out.

Never buy lottery tickets for gifts, that gift sucks both ways, if they win you may feel like they
owe you something, and if they loose, what did you just give them for a gift,
a crappy piece of paper..
