This is earth shattering. The man doesn't even want to do the work because that would cut into running his empire. So, in other words Pence(penis) would be actually running the show, while the little penis is running his racist mouth about making America great. In case Da dumb Donald is just a moron and can't see that he lives in the greatest country in the world that has more or less made him filthy rich. America is the greatest country in the world and if not then why are all these immigrants trying to come here? Da Donald is a delusional racist. SMH. And get this Da Donalds camp wants us to believe Kasich is lying, really?????? Who has the track record of lying?

John Kasich (R-Ohio) and Donald Trump are not exactly buddies. Back on the campaign trail, Trump criticized everything about the Ohio governor, including his eating habits.

Nevertheless, several sources are reporting that in the weeks before the opening of the Republican National Convention, Trump and his team tried several times to convince Kasich to accept the position of vice president.

CNN is reporting that Donald Trump Jr. approached the Governor to beg him to join the ticket, but that Kasich quickly refused. Kasich’s people are insisting that there were several attempts made to pull Kasich back into the fold. They say that Kasich was told that he would be the most powerful VP in history. Believe it or not, he was told that he would be in charge of both domestic and foreign policy.

Now that Kasich has both rejected the offer and made it public, the Trump camp denies that it ever happened. One of Trump’s advisers said:

“It’s completely ridiculous. There was never an offer made. It’s completely made up. Gov. Kasich is just being a sore loser.”

Of course, the Trump camp has been glibly lying about things from the beginning. Earlier this week they went to crazy lengths insisting that Melania’s speech was not ripped off from Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech. They kept repeating that there was no plagiarism right up until the moment when a speechwriter admitted that she had done it.

The cat-fight over whether the VP offer was ever actually made is playing itself out right there in Kasich’s home state, where Trump is getting the nomination. It’s playing out at the only convention anyone can remember where the hosting governor is staying as far away as possible.

Trump and Kasich don’t even pretend to like each other. So why on earth would Trump want him to be the VP?

First of all, Ohio is a key battleground state. Trump is going to need to win in Ohio if he wants to win the Presidency.

More shockingly, Donald Trump has made it clear that he doesn’t have any intention of doing the hard work if he becomes President. His de facto campaign manager, Paul Manafort, said:

“He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesn’t want to do. He seems himself more as the chairman of the board, than even the CEO, let alone the COO.”

So Donald Trump denies that he begged the successful Governor of Ohio to serve as his VP, even though Ohio will be a key state to win. He denies it even though he has admitted in public that he doesn’t want the job, he just wants the title and the glory.

Thanks a lot, John Kasich. Now we may have to face Mike Pence as the policy maker in the White House.

For someone who pushed the non-establishment angle he sure picked a very establishment RNC droid for VP.

When Trump says make America great again he means reestablishing the "natural order." It's what every fascist promises. The problem is that when you make comparisons to people like Mussolini people think it's hyperbole and over dramatic but what they fail to see is that they are looking at the final version of people like Mussolini instead of the early days of Mussolini's rise to power. In other words, there are two things: how a leader obtains power and how he ends up using it. Trump is following the typical fascist blueprint when it comes to obtaining power. He is ticking off all the boxes such as law and order, nationalism, marginalization and fear of the Other. What he would do with the power of the presidency is another matter. Or should I say, what his children and VP do with that power?

This is epic and spot on! I knew there were still some people of integrity hiding within the lunacy that has become the GOP.

Chris Ladd's extremely well written letter shows just what noitsyou means about the rise of fascism. This is the 'how and why' of the ordinary German people being sucked in by Hitler, too. Obviously I do not share Ladd's Republican politics, but I do empathise with him in his fear and disappointment. Should be required reading for all, both in America and outside it.

People have a tendency to say, "it can't happen here," but look at the Patriot Act, NSA spying, Gitmo. Look at the war on drugs and the disproportionate enforcement of drug crimes based on socioeconomic (often linked with race) status and how it helped to create a permanent underclass. This is also linked to the CIA's involvement in the crack epidemic. Now you have a candidate talking about rounding up a minority group and people defend that by pointing to how we once did that to Japanese (and German and Italian) Americans. Instead of that being a lesson in what we shouldn't do (as it had been treated), they use it as justification for what they want to do. All it takes is the creation of an enemy to get us to set aside the Constitution.

It doesn't matter if she is a lying murderer, Americans still must vote for her, because she is a democrat. Roll eyes

Both Bushes have blood on their hands. Reagan had blood on his. I guess it's OK for republicans to wash their hands with the blood of Americans. It's amazing how people suddenly get a conscience when it's the other team winning.

by joanro on 24 July 2016 - 15:07

Watch the movie, even you might realize it's Hillery who has no conscience.... People who have their head up their own ass,as well as up the ass of their leaders are the ones who are continually making excuses and pointing fingers , saying, 'so did they! '. Brain dead sheeple who love being lead to slaughter by their liberal leaders, and will make excuses for them. Good ridence when Trump wins.
