Sock Puppet

I know VW, but I keep trying. For a man who is so scared of God, gouda sure is a hypocrite to say I am afraid. I do not fear my maker and never will.

My master? I have no master.

You have no clue what I am or who I am. How dare you judge me. For a Christian you are extremely judgmental, does your book tell you that is okay? Does your God allow you to judge others and then what, be sorry on church day? As I have always said I find most religious people to be very hypocritical and now after witnessing your act I believe you are the one being controlled by an evil force and you appear to be very hypocritical. Does your God continue to look the other way?

Doesn't your book have some writings in it about judging others?

We are the tolerant society. Nothing much angers us any more. Nothing, that is, except someone who is not as tolerant as we are! We can tolerate anything except the person who won't tolerate anything! No wonder our favorite Bible verse is Matthew 7:1, "Judge not that ye be not judged."

The new "unpardonable sin" is "judging." What a blessing this "new commandment" is to "Easy Christianity." Hypocrites can flaunt their violations of the Word of God and yet parade unchallenged as Christians. No one dares call them hypocrites for ("Oh, Horrors!") that would be "judging them."

Tell anyone nowadays that he or someone else is doing wrong and you will be immediately rebuked, "Don't Judge!" Is such a use of this verse proper? It clearly is not.

It can't mean that we must give up all spiritual discernment in order to be "loving Christians." Five verses later Jesus says, "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine" (Matthew 7:6). This command assumes the exercise of spiritual discernment. A few verses later Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets...You will know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:15,16,20). Again Jesus demands spiritual discernment. In Jesus' view it is not "judging" to conclude that someone is a false prophet.

Is it, perhaps, our duty to keep such discerning conclusions to ourselves in order to avoid "judging"? Emphatically not! Matthew 7:1 does not teach that it is sinful to confront and, if necessary, publicly expose evil. If this were so, how could Jesus say, "And if you brother sins, go and reprove him...?" How could Jesus go on to say, "And if he refuses to listen...tell it to the church"? (Matthew 18:15,17). How could Jesus' apostle, Paul, say, "Do you not judge those who are within the church?...Remove the wicked man from among yourselves" (1 Corinthians 5:12,13).

Matthew 7:1 does not forbid us either to form or express our opinions about such hypocrites. Jesus expressed such an opinion in this very passage. In Matthew 7:5 He said, "You hypocrite." John the Baptist expressed his opinion of the Pharisees publicly to their faces, "You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" (Matthew 3:7). We must do the same. Jesus in this very chapter (Matthew 7:15,16,20) commanded, "Beware of false prophets...you will know them by their fruits."

It's time for Christians to stop being bound by such false interpretation and to start dealing with sin. "Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law strive with them" (Proverbs 28:4)

So what does Matthew 7:1 mean? In this context, Jesus is forbidding forming or expressing conclusions about others by those who won't see or deal with their own sins. Matthew 7:3-5 says, "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?...You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to take the speck out of your brother's eye."

If, on the basis of Matthew 7:1, you refuse to form and express (when necessary) moral opinions, you are confessing your refusal to see and deal with your own sins. The refusal to exercise moral discernment is a confession of moral bankruptcy! May God embolden you to stop tolerating sin in yourself and others, to your hurt and to theirs!

You know, some of us have ethics that are not based on the bible. Some of us just KNOW right from wrong, because we learned it in school or at home...not everybody has to be threatened with an ancient text in order to live good lives. Some people have, for example, EMPATHY.

And this is where not judging comes in. You understand that you would not want to be judged by someone who has never been in your shoes, or even in your neighborhood, for that matter. So, in the interest of empathy and fair play, you decide not to act like you know what's best for other people.

It's scary to me that your religious texts don't teach empathy. I'd think that would be right at the top of the list. But then, I'm not worried about that ancient book and the various fairy tale princes in it coming after me and smiting me with their swords of righteousness.

MAN that's some phony shit.

I was taught by my Parents that if you live a good life, Help others when you can, do not look down on anyone of any colour or creed, Respect other peoples views and above all be TRUE to yourself then you will have done your best,
Born one of 10 kids we all knew the hardship of growing up, and everyone of them have kept themselves well within the laws of society and not caused any problems along the way to others, Yes, we were taught well as youngsters, I do not need any church or man made book to tell me how to live my life i have done it now for a long time and done my part when asked to do so ,
Reading and praying will not make me any happier or better off for doing so, Those who believe in such things well good luck to them if it makes them lead a better life i guess that is good
For me i have done what i wanted, and done what i was told to do at times,  overall i have had a good happy life and i am satisfied that all that counts for me.

Let me tell you a little about my life.

My father and mother brought us 8 kids to Canada from Holland in 1952.
A little later my farthe became very il and died in 1959 at the age of 40.
I left school on a workers permit,at the age of thirteen[ that was allowed under certain circumstances in the fifties} that explains why my spelling is not up to par.
I worked in government forestry that grew trees for transplanting. I worked there till I was sixteen, then got a job in a local jewelry box factory. By that time both my older sisters were working, and helping out.
I n Feb 1962 General Motors of Canada hired me [didnt know God then, but he knew me,and was looking after me}  I retired at the age of 55 and started my Kennel.
Yes God fulfilled THE VISION HE GAVE MY FATHER IN HIS LAST DAYS.
All the good things in my life happend because I love Christ, its him that had his hand on me in my younger days, without me even being aware of it.

I never blow my own horn, the praises all belong to the one who takes care of me.

  Good day.

Au contraire, you revel that "through you" souls will come to God and you covet that soul crown you imagine is waiting for you on rapture day. It is why you get up in the morning.

Hmmm. . . Some might see an argument for stricter immigration laws in there. :-)
