Hey everyone, I've been reading kor reports and many of them have the phrase typey or good expression what does that mean? And how can a dog be Suitable for improving the type, expression, strength and masculinity? What exactly does that mean?

Also, how do you determine if a dog or bitch needs to be bred with a dog that will improve upon type and expression? Some examples of specific dogs or lines that might have this problem would be helpful. Thanks so much.

Somewhere it is written and described as the "look of eagles" -- it's in their eyes -- their gaze -- their "expression" -- It is also stated as "unmistakable when present !" - When you see it -- you know it. You don't have to be a big dog to have a will shaped skull, a strong head and good expression -- it's not a size thing -- Somewhere I found an extraordinary head shot of Karat's Ulk -- That is a beautiful headpiece to me but it's one of many. A while back, someone noted that there are always set-up side views of the dogs to show topline and angulation - but not so many headshots -- we need more of those -- there should always be the two together - so we can see proper earset - dark eyes -- not round - not too close together and a strong muzzle !! If you have a "spindly" bitch with a collie head - breeding her to a dog with a strong head and good expression is not necessarily going to fix it -- You will simply get some with weak heads, some average, and maybe 25% improved-- Unless you know for a fact that the stud stamps every one of his puppies with a particular trait -- you're always going to get a range. Mutter is 50% !!!
