Bob-O, Some wives might be upset over getting a cleaning item as a gift, however, I think anyone would be happy and downright amazed at what an incredible job the Dyson does. I noticed after the first 3 or 4 vacuuming sessions that I didn't have to vacuum as much. Not to mention that with the Dyson taking all the fur, dander and dirt out of the carpet, I didn't have to dust as often as I had before. Any item that makes house cleaning easier for me is well appreciated. I know men who wanted to get another dog and wives had said no because of the cleaning and extra fur. Those men got the wives dysons, and now they have new puppies!

You may find a good deal on ebay for the dyson as that is where I bought mine. Here is a link for anybody interested. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=Dyson+DC15+

I agree. We have a Dyson and it picks up so much hair that it has to be emptied 10x as much as our old one. But that is because it picks up everything. When some one recommended it to us I was skeptical because it sounded to good to be true. But it is by far the best vacuum we have ever had.

Hey folks, I got mine through HSN.com off T.V. it was cheaper then any of the stores. Also you can try it for 30 days and if you don't like it send it back and no questions asked and costs you nothing to try.

Bob-O, Yes, stop being a tight wad and get your wife a Dyson! It just may make your marriage longer and happier LOL. It is far and away superior to anything I have ever bought and I have always sought to buy the most powerful and efficient and clean machine. Best regards.

Hey Bob. Wise man once said to me "Happy wife, happy life" Might want to check on overstock.com. They have factory reconditioned units for a lot cheaper. Same quality and warrantee.

I have and love my Rainbow, and have had one for twenty years. No filters, water canister and dump it a couple of times , put the oil of ur choice in water, house smells good, and cleannnnn.Im on my second Rainbow, as my husband gave me the first one and a friend passed away and had never used hers so her family gave it to me...I tell people the three things u dont mess with are my Rainbow, my dogs and my money....my kids can fend for themselves....

I vaccuum the dogs also and after their bath I clean the canister, reverse the nozzle to output and blow them free of all loose hair and most of the adult dogs love the feel.....it fluffs them and I do it again after they are dry....send hair flying and I do it outside on the patio.....U can use the rainbow if u are sick and put Eucalyptus oil or and expectorant oil in the water and run in bedroom , or if have stale cabbage for supper, turn on Rainbow for a few minutes with favorite oil in water and house freshins up....

Oh well, is not Valentine's Day coming? Perhaps this is a better gift for the wife than a set of kitchen knives. The dozen red roses may have to be but one (1), though. Bob-O

Yes Bob-O, Valentine's Day is coming. Sounds like you have it all worked out well in advance. Good man!
