Anyone know any names of people who would be willing to get an 8 week pup and keep it for 7 weeks to then ship to UK at 15 weeks after a couple of vet visits and all pertinent pet passport stuff? I know it seems like reverse shipping direction lol. Brokers fine but even people who could just take in a pup and make extra cash that are trutworthy welcome.

we do it all the time, but we do it in czech, not USA

I know, it is so common here in Europe. Am hoping to find someone in the states so I don't have to pay 4k$ extra for the breeder to keep the pup. Am happy to pay someone who will socialize and do what is needed a premium but if a pup is 800$ and shipping is 1500 why am I looking to pay 7k?

Maybe a silly question but have you considered buying a puppy bred here in UK ?  We do have some purely Working
people eg Czech, Belgian lines if that is what you are looking for rather than WUSV-based.  Or heaven help me you
could look to the Alsatian SL people if you want something with a flatter back [and probably next-to-no working ability].
\Linda.      (Based on what I remember of things you have said).   No shipping costs; would maybe have a pup run-on
to a bit older if thats what you prefer, but without travel/jabs restrictions you could have an 8 wk old here?

I do it all the time, kennel/potty plus socialization. You will have to pay for all the expenses. I will be full again in October (raising couple gangsters for a gentleman in Australia).

You can Pm me if you want to.

Are you looking for tracking foundation plus puppy tug work? Sit down and heel food foundation..I love this stuff, puppies are like SPONGES..

Hundmutter, it's a doberman not a GSD I am looking at. GSDPACK will PM you thanks! Might be after the new year, still looking at litters.

My God, the breeder wants 4K just to keep the pup for an extra 7 weeks?!
I understand charging some fee for keeping a pup for extra time, but that just seems a bit too much.   Maybe you could send the pup to Steve House for his puppy foundation training.  He's a very reputable and good trainer with boarding kennels and good training packages and reasonable prices.

Wish I could help you, but I'm at my limit of dogs

Magdalenasins - oh, ok, sorry, that wasn't clear. [ Mind you, there are some Dobes here as well !]

Thanks all, definitely looking into all options, yes it is a lot and just for pet foundation stuff which is why I thought I'd start looking now for something a bit better. Hundmutter, I know but I like them cropped and docked. *ducks* And I want a white one...No need to yell at me about color choice though have heard it all with my last rescued one. :P

M - no tail I could live with. As for the other two options - yes, you should duck (& cover)... Sigh.  Each to their own.
