For my dog Origen is a better food however your present dog food, Kl&r, is probably the best value quality vs $.

Orijen is top notch as far as kibble goes....that said KL&R is not a bad food.  I raised 5 GSDs on it over the past 15 years and only just this year switched them to Nature's Domain which is Costco's grain free food and comparable to Taste of The Wild.  All of my dogs did great on Kirkland, and my sister raised and bred Championn Bulmastiffs on this food (kirkland).

If I was feeding just one dog, I would consider Orijen, but I have 3 GSDs and a small dog, so it gets a little pricey.

i used natures domain turkey and sweet potato (red bag) and sometimes taste of the wild lamb (purple bag) and have been well pleased. both are grain free and with lower protein. my dogs are healthy and have plenty of energy.

I also use the Natures Domain, but i use the Salmon and potato. I used the Taste of the Wild lamb on Aiko, when he was alive and he did very well on it.

Hi, I was feeding Orijen and my male did very nicely on it. He has recently been changed to Acana which is made by the same company as Orijen, but is a little less expensive. He is doing equally as nice on the Acana.

I feed Orijen large breed to pups and then mix regular Orijen with Taste of the Wild when not feeding raw. I didn't like Acana for some reason (low protein maybe?). EVO is my prefered food but you can't get it in the UK (I've moved here from the States) and I heard they were bought out anyway.
