Hi

I was wondering if maybe you guys can tell us if our new boy is going to be Plush, stock or long coated?
Picture of him at 8 weeks. Dad is Long coat, Mom is stock coat and Does Not carry the LC gene.
Thanks for all the info.

this is a normal coat, there is no such thing as a plush coat, it is a made up word for a normal coated dog that has a bit thicker coat, but the dog pictured a not long coated

He is definitely adorable! Based on the photos my guess is stock coat. Bea is correct as far as the term "plush coat" goes, but many use it to differentiate between the typical stock coat and one that is more plush than the average stock coat (me included!).

GSD1Buddy - your pup has a BEAUTIFUL headpiece, and lovely color coming it!

IMO, its a stock coat, but maybe a bit more full, like a conformation dog.

Keep us posted as he grows.......

If Mom does not carry the LC gene, then the dog will not exhibit a LC.

Plush coat is a made up description and is not an official description of dog coat.. Dogs either are LC or are not LC.
