Does anybody know where I can find the results of the British Sieger Show which was held last weekend? Thanks in advance.

There was no such thing as a "BRITISH SIEGER" this year. Solo will certainly allow me to post this link to his website, explaining more about it: http://www.videxgsd.com/british_sieger_event_2005.htm

Solo will be over the moon with this (sieger show) http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/user_comments/443705.html How you can take seriously the title Sieger in a country that has no breed improvement schemes that are mandatory it's just a joke. The UK is the laughing stock of the shepherd world. Tattooing voluntary Breed survey voluntary Hip scores voluntary Elbows voluntary No gun testing No character assessment No schutzhund You need none of the above to Show a dog in the UK So a dog that is dysplastic and has a bad temperament could be the next BRITISH SIEGER.

Indeed there was a 'BRITISH SIEGER EVENT' this year - a foot in the door to better things by all accounts. For information and before more rubbishing comes about the Sieger was ELAN who needs no introduction whatsoever and the SIEGERIN was Babette Louershoeve - an exceptional female from Belgium - absolute quality - ask Herr Meyer...! The adult classes were superb! Mr Payne - SOLO - Videx - will of course have his opinions but Im sure he is none the less delighted at VIDEX PATZI winnig the youth class!!?? In the UK you will be hard pushed to find a top flight breeder ignoring hip schemes - promoting poor temperaments etc. We have some exceptional breeders and top animals in the UK. Most judges will temperament test, most breeders will not entertain non surveyed animals and obvious problems. We are NO laughing stock - we are a progressive country BEGINNING a journey towards an actual 'BRITISH SIEGER SHOW.'

Thanks for your courteous reply. The sole purpose of my original post was to find out who the winners of the various classes were - not to get into politics or get peoples opinions as to whether THEY believe it was a valid Sieger Show or not. For the record, my opinion is that running the show was a progressive move. Hopefully the show will be an annual event - the organisers can add more stringent controls over time.

jozolli i dont think wascham was trying to degrade the quality of the dogs at the british sieger show as am sure these dogs mentioned are of the highest quality , but i do think he may have a valid point in saying that because the show did not have any of the above tests does make a bit of a mockery of it

Hi there the results will be posted on my website shortly www.nikonisgsd.co.uk in the meantime if you would like a copy of the winners (sorry no breeding on list yet!) please email me on nikki@nikonisgsd.co.uk and I will forward to you. Just a little info as food for thought. Of the 227 animals entered - 177 where tattooed, 90 tattooed and microchipped, 27 had only microchips and only 23 animals had no identification. Not bad considering it was not mandatory this year. Stand by for next year though!! Unfortunately some of the info is missing regards the breed survey but looking at the list and just taking a calculated guess I would say that probably over 85% of the adluts entered had either Koerungs or British Breed Surveys. I think that is a terrific start. Also gun tests where carried out in all classes over 12 months and not one dog failed to my knowledge. I also doubt if there were many adult animals not Hip xrayed but will need to sit and work that out!! It was a fabulous day but very hard work and I think we are definitely heading in the right direction. Just my humble opinions for what they are worth.
