Just received an e mail...Here's a link to the Caroline County Animal shelter in Virginia.
Good news. Shelter is getting new floors this weekend. Bad news. Any dog not adopted or fostered by Friday gets put to sleep.

That is ridiculous...how long does it take to put the floor in..don't they have outside kennels to put the animals in? Or foster some etc...

looked at the site they dont have many dogs and they are hard to adopt ones but come one how aout putting them in another shelter or outdoor runs? or volunteers to house them for the work? I would love to adopt the siamese mix kitty on the site I have been looking for one as a companion to my siamese that lost his friend to health issues they do better in pairs. i am in pa though.

Does anyone know what happened to these poor dogs? I hope people stepped up to foster them..I wish I lived closer.

i offered assistance was told no and no information was given even offered to drive down and adopt the one cat boarding it at vet there until spayed before taking it out of the area. Told them I had numerous large breed dog rescue contacts in thier area I lived in Virginia all my life was told the above statement basically they did not want help and do not want to give out any info on it.

used to be a member of southern states rottweiler rescue when lived in the south which had texas in its area yes sunshine it is awfull down there!
