I had heard from multiple sources that Apple Cider Vinegar is good for many ailments, but a physician at the hospital I work at just recommended it to me for skin infections, that was new to me, although it makes sense that changing the skins pH would inhibit bacterial growth. Now I'm not talking serious infections, just the common summer afflictions.....but anyone else know of any apple cider vinegar cure claims? I'm curious now, I just bought a gallon of it, LOL!

Where did you buy it from? Don't just buy the regular store brand stuff for cooking, "Braggs" (Can't remember if it was one g or two) does work on things.  I have sebborhemic dermatitis and used it on my scalp once.  Thing is......you HAVE to delute it or you may scream your lungs out because it will burn you like crazy.  I had all of those flaky patches on my scalp, it helped tremendously......I quit using it after a couple of use however because I couldn't handle the smell.  It's very good for you to drink as well, as long as you delute it then as well. I "tried" it once by itself, huge mistake..... I'm surprised nothing serious happened, but I only took in a tea spoon of it. It burned so badly going down my throat though. If you are to drink it, you have to put like a tea spoon or two in a big glass of water. Problem is the entire glass will taste like that.  My dad has taken the pills of it and it helped all these itchy spots on his skin (he thinks they were allergic reactions to something) go away completely.  There is a guy I talked to before who I think both drank.....and put it on his skin. He had eczema, and many foods (yeast especially) triggered flare ups making his skin look really bad. He drank ACV every day and of course avoided what he was allergic to, and you can't even tell now that he has eczema. It took quite a few months for the eczema to really stop showing though.

My mom uses it for osteoarthritis.  She takes a couple tablespoons daily,  and swears by it.

Someone also told me it works miracles on bowed tendons.  Well, I tried it, and didn't notice much improvement, so I went back to using Uptight, which does work, IMO. ;)

Its great for indigestion. Dilute it of course and drink right after the meal. I used to eat Prilosec like mad before it was otc. I tried this solution and once my stomach was working normally, I no longer had to take it.

I dont use Braggs. Too pricey when Heinz works the same

Can also be used for yeasty bacterial ear infections in your dog , been used for years in nursing homes
when patients get skin problems from hot weather , miconsole 7 for yeast can also work in dogs with ear problems much cheaper than a vet.

Lots of interesting information! Thanks!
My son had me drinking some vinegar tasting tea a couple years ago called Kamboucha or something like that...it had the vinegar 'mother' in it (some kind of fungal growth, like a mushroom in the vinegar), & it made me sick; really, really sick, so sick I wound up in the hospital. So I'm not too keen on doing that again, hence I'm afraid I did go for the commercial brand. I figured highly processed might be a little safer, but I could be wrong. I had just been on steroids for my asthma, so I may have been a little immunosuppressed at the time.
I've heard about using it for dogs ears....but what about for cleaning? A client I once had used vinegar to clean medical equipment that couldn't be boiled.....could it be used to clean dog areas? Wouldn't that be safer than bleach?
Just askin' !

The distilled vinegar is not what  you use..

You have to buy Apple cidar vinegar with MOTHER>..not distilled..defeated purpose if you use Heinz distlled ...anything distilled is just vinegar taste no attributes to it.

Mother in it is the real thing and works like it is suppose to..Drug Emporeum sells if for 2.95 a bottle here..
A lot less than prilosec and prevacid..

read before you buy  so you get the real advantages ..Distilled anything is just wasting your money and washing it down the drain.
