I am not sure and think this a big rumor but I heard that Ghandi Arlett is coming to India. If it's true,WOW!!I was even told that he was sold to India for 100000 Euro.Hats off to that person who's getting him,not because of the price I heard but because I think that this dog can single handedly improve our breeding like no dog has ever done. Can someone from Germany kindly confirm??

by HOWDEDO on 09 November 2004 - 00:11

I am not sure if this is true, Big B. I called a friend in Frankfurt who possibly would have known, but she sounded surprised. Anyways, She has promised to get back if she finds anything. By the way, I personally think if it is true, then 100K Euro is a good bargain .

I hate to burst your bubble but Ghandi is a disaster. I sat in his home with the dog for 3 hours and saw no protective instincts. He has no front, no rear, no topline, no neck, crooked tail, one the biggest zeros to ever have gone Auslese. Pure politics. His dam was well built so you see an occasional good one by him but his group in Karlsruhe showed virtually no gait at all. Sorry. Everyone I spoke with in Germany had the same opinion. You could start a much better rumor that Erasmus was coming to India.

Lenny, Isn't that a little too harsh the way you put it? Ghandi has been fairly well used and Flipp is a good example of how well he can produce.

I do not believe this about Ghandi. He as produced too many good pups to win also. He was a big winner be it some Politics, he is a well portioned male. His pigment is nice and dark, his top line lood great, and the breeder that sold me Gillion said: he is a dog worth 250.000 easily, a super dog and he went from U.S. over with his female to breed to him and would no have had he been this bad, trust me.

Lenny, How did you test his protective instinct while at his home? Diane

Get the DVD or the SV tape and see for yourself. See the dog moving rather than look at a photo. Van Doorsen and Messler live in the same town and are buddies. Pure politics. The dog is a disaster.

This makes me wonder if you are talking about GHANDI VON ARLETT!!!???! If have personally seen this handsome guy in Karsruhe this very year,an eye catcher! He is wonderful and medium size guy, has the best of angulations, colur, topline and a decent progeny, He sure has a TOP attitude. A very enthusiastic dog with a strong character. He is alwasy eager to move. I personally feel he has a short neck but no dog is perfrct definitely worthy of being a VA star. Good luck to ghandi and his poeple.

I put a photo of Ghandi gaiting on the stud dog page. No front , no rear , no topline, no neck, and the crooked tail are all in evidence.

Another classic example of imported trash being dumped on us and dumb enthusiasts just paying money for crappy progenies *sigh* Life is a bitch
