Great day with Dad! - Page 1

So, I went over to my parents' house this morning to clean.  I concentrated on the kitchen, did spring-type cleaning, everything sparkled!  When I left this morning, I didn't shower, just brushed my teeth, braided my hair and threw a bandana around my head to hold it in place.  Even though it was still a bit chilly, I just had to take the top down on the Jeep and enjoy this weather. 

While I was cleaning, he stayed in the living room watching TV and I was trying to talk him into going outside to sit in the sun on this beautiful day, but he didn't want to.  So, when I was finished, I asked him if he'd like to try and see if he could get into the Jeep.  He got a smile on his face and said he'd love to go to the bakery and get a pecan ring for breakfast in the morning.  He got all cleaned up and I was able to get him in pretty easily, there's a high curb.  The top was down, I was an absolute mess, he was having a blast and he got his goodies for the morning.  He even made fun of me for being so nervous about him getting in and out of the Jeep, he was in rare form!  When I left, he was whistling :)  Good day with Dad!

Made for a Happy Easter weekend for  you and DAD..so glad he was able to do this with you..It made a memory you will never forget.. I hope you get to take more rides.

The jeep ride was a wonderful idea, something new and different.

Too often when your old everything seems the same day in and day out, and that gets very depressing.

There's nothing like a road trip to lift ones spirit.
