Bloody nice! Wink Smile

I like how he drops the toy and goes for the man.

thanks, no shit you have more fingers on one hand than that dog has had agitations, he takes the man like he is in a dog fight, grip is awesome ie hard clamps down like a vice and does not shift it.

presentations were not the best and the rag kind of unravels so hard to get a purchase on it.

Yep, he'll bite.

You're going to end up paying for your friend's hospital bill if you don't learn to handle the line better than that, though.

And get a harness your dog can't back out of and that gives more ability to control your dog's front half - again, in the interest of not paying the hospital bill.

Good Handler Work is as important as Good Helper Work...Basically a Good Handler should act like a POST...and hold the dog so the Helper knows what distance is safe for him to work the dog...

When handling your dog you must be balanced so that you can absorb the shock that your dog creates when he lunges towards the Helper...You should be in a 3 point stance...Hold the leash with 2 hands and beable to absorb the shock...Sometimes wrapping the leash around your butt will help hold the dog...If this is hard to do then you should just go ahead and put the dog on a POST...

In handling your dog while doing Protection work you need to stand up...DO NOT be bent over...or the dog can easily get you off balance and pull you over...Which can cause the Helper to get bit...You will lose Helpers willing to work your dog is they continue to get bit...

It has gotten to be where most Helpers will be the ones that are controlling the session...Although this is where a Trainer should be...The Trainer should be the 3rd person on the field and control the action...A lot of times it's difficult to have a trainer there as you work your dog...So the best thing is to learn as your go and learn GOOD...SAFE methods...

A sled dog harness ? Really ?
Post the dog and use an agitation collar or agitation harness to keep the decoy safe. The sled dog harness offers no security for the decoy.
I like your pup. Still say he's a catahoula hound, which is a good breed for that stuff.
