betree, every single thing that Shtal posts has been debunked, time and time again.  If one person sees that garbage, is roped in, never looks at actual evidence again and gives all their money to these charlatans, that's a crime.  It's a real crime that goes unpunished because we give special protection to nonsense.  We allow it through tacit approval of pretending to belive in ghosts.  All anyone asks it that, if you are going to shove this down our throats and tell us it will buy a reward once we're in the grave, and then expect us to live up to its doctrines, you damned well better be willing to bring actual evidence to table, before the would-be slaves submit!!  As has been stated over and over ad nauseaum, nobody is preventing religious people from living their lives however they choose, but they better not be telling others that they have to toe an imaginary line!  If you think it doesn't happen, look to the Middle East.  At one time, they were the cradle of science, does that not give you pause?

Have you ever noticed in the GSD world all the extremes?  Extreme attitudes about training, how to train what to train.  Extremes in conformation such as in the China thread.  The thoughts that the ability is more important than conformation.  The person who is trying to maintain a balance is not the one who is listened to.  Everyone else discounts them,  considers them wackos because they don't fall into any of the extreme camps.  Belief in the bible is much the same.  Evolutionists usually totally discount the bible as a book of myths.  Many so called Christians teach traditions  as fact even when they have no biblical basis.  So what is the truth about the bible.  Well you generally won't hear it in internet forum boards.  If it is given the respect that it deserves then it will be discussed in a setting that shows it that respect.  Not as writings on an outhouse wall.

Rich, if you would like to tell us the truth (according to you), please, break these generalities you speak of and do it here.  I'm curious as to your truths on the Bible.  Can Genisis be taken literally or not? How old is the earth?

BTW, Jesus hung out with the sinners much to the Religous leaders horror.

There is NO place that is not fit for the gospel.  Contrary to what some might think, more than the few that grace us with their opinions read this wall.

At least have the decency to tell us all the 'truth' if you have taken the time for a comment at all.  Who knows who's ears are meant to hear it?

Rich, it really doesn't make a difference what you believe. But it does makes a difference what the Bible says. It is true that creation is not a salvation issue. Failing to believe in the truth of Genesis does not lead to losing salvation.

However, it is an authority issue.

For example, in Matthew 19, Jesus talks about Adam being created "at the beginning", using a phrase that refers to the beginning of the world. If we actually evolved over millions of years, then Jesus was either lying, or He was too ignorant of the science. In fact Jesus was the One who actually did the creating! (John 1, and Colossians 1). So, I need respectfully to ask you do believe the words of Jesus or not?
However, if you recognizing that you only need Christ's atonement is the only thing necessary for salvation...Everything else comes next.."

How would you know you need Christ's atonement? You can only have got that information from the Bible. Therefore, you has to believe the Bible is reliable in order to receive that atonement. Yet, if Genesis does not mean what it says, then why should you trust the Bible? There is no reason to do so.

And how can you possibly need salvation, if the origin of sin is not true. If there was no First Adam, then why should we believe that Jesus is the Last Adam?

shtal then why do you ignore MOST of what the OT and NT actually tells you to do.

if the bible really showed us how to live and you actually followed it literally you would either be arrested or thrown in a padded cell.

i see young xians now everywhere handing out free bibles with the entire OT missing, i think it is a trend that the young want no part of the evil acts stated in the OT, they either dismiss it as allegory or dismiss it outright.

and shtal i have already provided examples of scriptuure where god lied, you did not respond.

seems the catholic view, you know those guys that wrote the first bible, is that the OT is allegory in the main. they have no problem with an old earth or evolution as that is what the best evidence and explanation we have leads.  are they all wrong??

Vk, not responding  does NOT mean one agrees.

Seriously, the second coming hasn't even happened, and you are calling God a liar for saying some will be raptured alive??  God told Adam and Eve that they will surely die, and THEY DID!  How is that a lie?

Give me a break, just too stupid to even bother with.  Where do you find this crap?
