R.I.P Smudge.. he made it to 19 Years old! - Page 2

So sorry.  Surely he will be sadly missed.  RIP Sir Smudge...

RIP Smudge..my daughter has three cats and I had to baby sit Sprinkles last week to the vets as they were at Twirling contests out of town..HE developed  Crystals urinary problem, so Ganny had to transport to vet and then to emergency vet as my vet had duty there and wanted Sprinkles with him at the emergency 24 hour observance care, so I learned a lot about house cats. Sprinkles actually is a half Minx:?

My daughter and family were so worried about Sprinkles so the lose of one of these fine felines is always hard to take...Hope your family finds peace and will have another to take its place.

We have 3 other cats.... I have Velcro who is an orange tabby..... my mom has Swat who is a BIG black and white cat and also she has Tuffy a grey tabby kinda cat.

We are the house of "special needs" cats..... Smug has bladder cancer.... Tuff my moms cat is hyperthyroid..  Smug was on medication his whole life. Tuff takes meds for her thyroid issues.

Luckily the cats we have now are 6-7 years old. So they are young and will be here a LONG while

19 is an excellent number... I hope my little meow makes it that long!

I rang up one of my customers on Saturday that was shopping for their cat... the cat is 26. I knew they had an older cat as we would share "old cat stories"... but I had NO IDEA the cat was that old.

RIP Smudge!!!  Cats rule on the other side of rainbow bridge !! That's what I hear !! Special place in my heart for black kitties!!  ,,,,,,,

Smug was a fiesty ole man.. he would give the dogs or the other cats a smack upside the head just because he felt like it.... If the other cats got brushed first or got their nails trimmed first he would walk up and smack them when their turn was done. It was like he was saying "I wanted to be first"! He even smacked me a few times when I irritated him...lol.  He was the boss kitty for sure. My moms cat, Swat, who is the black and white one pictures with Smug was VERY attached to Smug. He misses his buddy dearly...poor guy! He was with Smug his whole life. As Swat is only 6 or 7 years old.

So sorry for your loss, 19 is an old kitty, & I'm sure his life with you was good; but it doesn't help to ease the pain of good bye. My little tricolor cat was 8 pounds of boss. Even after she lost her sight Kali & Beckett both had sense enough to steer clear of Heidi. When she was 16 I had her pts, as we could no longer control her seizures. I'm so sorry Jyl, & I apologize for not seeing this before now.
