Good morning,

My brother had recently adopted a dog from animal shelter, breed label said "Stafford terrier/bulldog mix"..and i am sure he is mix of it all...BUT it would be nice to know if that can be confirmed, maybe?...i dont know anyhting about staffies/ bulldogs...but after meeting this guy, i am open to owning one, one day....

Disposition: total and absolute love bug, will climb on your lap if you allow, he is a hefty dog, about 45-50 pounds, he is on a smaller size (well in comparison to my dogs) but his head is huge! he is all muscle....does not bark, in about 5 weeks we are yet to hear him bark...he does snorts when he is excited, farts, burps, snores....(maybe bulldog part was right at least in that aspect)..no under coat, does not shed when washed or brushed, very attentive to people, observant, dog friendly, great house manners, little too intense w/ cats, he been kept on leash at all times in my home, naturaly calm, his excited state is calmer than my dogs calm state if that says anything...LOL.

he kind of stands funny (on last photo his right leg, that how he gets with all 4's when he focuses on soemthing, he just looks...stiff) ....like all his elbows get very straight when he stops and focuses but no issues walking, jumping, etc...

here are a few pictures....he was estimated to be 2 years old.

I knew i can count on you Jenni.. :)

i was thinking Boston terrier/bulldog mix/mix of a mix....he is smaller than pictures lead on his back is just below my knees....and he has tiny feet....but huge head...his actual nose is tiny too...i'll post more pictures when i get a chance.

He could easily be from the "Black line" of american bulldogs. Who all have some american pit bull terrier in their pedigrees.

Here are some examples.

I'm not a big fan of the black bulldogs. But they are out there. Or he could just be an interesting mix. Enjoy the pretty new dog.

Thanks Fry...i can totally see similarities in last link....

here is another picture...(his ears do not stand, this was one of those in motion shots)...oh and he does not fetch...like, no fetching, catching, tracking, none of that....no toy drive of any kind, now food...thats a different story.

I have a foster bulldog at the house right now that when she came didn't have a clue what a toy was. She just now is starting to get the hang of playing. She also has no manners and is a complete good ball. But in the few months since i started working with her she has learned to sit and wait at the door. And can walk pretty nice on a leash. But i can't get her to heel (no focue even with food) I keep hoping to find someone to adopt her. Because she can't stay with me for ever,

would u post a picture?

i had no exposure to bulldogs, terriers, pits, etc..living in CA most were banned by home associations, apartments, public places, etc. plus the reputation didn't help..so this is the 1st exposure and i must say we are all in love....we cant wait till he is brought over for new year...LOL...

These are my own personal dogs, all Ab's all papered and all look different.  You might have to cut and paste to see them correctly. :p
