Is there any way to provide proof on hips and elbows, title verification, anything like that? I have found several listed as OFA good, who aren't in the database. And several "Police Patrol Dogs" that were surprising a KKL1..... with no hips/elbows...... no IPO titles..... no show scores..... I know you can go in on any pedigree and post whatever, is there ANY way to have some restriction? Like with hips/elbows, having to post the conformation number? Or somehow providing proof of the titles or achievements. And I've noticed a ton that use DDR as an achievement. Still don't understand why. But Admin, is there any way to resolve this? When I first started in dogs I was given a pedigree from here for my pup.... nice it seemed, scores and sch titles, health ratings..... study into it, none true..... It was heartbreaking. For those who are new and don't know better, some of these pedigrees are extremely misleading.

You will always need to verify titles and health clearances with the entity that granted/awarded them. This is a database that makes information from all entities available to you (Even competing ones), but does not award titles or clearances itself, and most here do their best to keep it as accurate as it can get. If you notice bad information, report it to us.

OFA has the website above.  The SV has the ZW results online on their site.

For IPO scores, ask to see the dog's scorebook.

If you find a false pedigree, report it to Admin.

One tiny spelling error will prevent you from finding a dog on the OFA database. If you can't find the dog you are searching for, try using just a part of the name, something unique if possible. Can't find  Kismet's Sight for Sore Eyes (an example)?  Search using Sight or Sore.

I agree with Khalee23 how good is a site called database when  many times it has false data entered ? If a person on this site is saying that their dog is OFA for hips and elbows why not require the number to be entered at the same time ,how hard is that to be built into the system ? But I dont know I guess dishonest people would still enter a fake number so what can be done as far as this site goes ?, I hear it said you can report bad information, thats crazy it would take a lifetime to report all the fake stuff that people enter on their dogs on pedigree database, its sad for the new person comming on this site thinking they can rely on correct facts, pedigree database is on a honor system thats all, take it with a grain of salt. Sorry to gripe soo much I still feel a flawed pedigree database is better than not having a database at all ,at least some are truthful in what info they enter on their dogs. And in some ways this site is better than working dog Eu .

I'll just remind folks about the OVC hip/elbow rating database (Canada). It only runs from August 1st, 2007 to 2012. To search the database, you need the dog's OVC certificate number (the only way to search).

Here's what the entry for Bosco's mother looks like (O.V.C. #0040124):
