Two Moons

by Two Moons on 09 August 2010 - 18:08

Maybe I'm getting too old for this shit,
but having two bitches come into heat at about the same time is really a pain in the ass.

Especially this time of year.

Last time was bad enough due to strays wandering into the area.

This time I'm going to shoot anything that isn't from a local.

And possible one or two who are locals.

A fair warning to anyone who can't keep their unaltered studs at home.

Hard enough to keep my own dogs under control, much less every one else's.

Just venting since there is so little to choose from on the message board of late.

I have one that I imagine will be coming in again soon.  I don't envy you Moons.

I dont envy you either moons. My friends lab pulled my mali bitch in and now we are in a false pregnancy. 3 intact males in the house definitely = no fun.

Have fun.

Thanks Red sable,
very nice picture by the way.

Actually my biggest problem is a dominant bitch and keeping her from getting to rough with the younger female.

I don't want to leave them in kennels so we alternate who's in and who's out.

It take so long to get past the cycle.... wears me out.

The strays have only become a problem in the last year or so..... too many people have moved into what was once forest.

Add to that the ticks and it's all pure pleasure for me.

Moons, if your dogs are in kennels and the strays get to your girls, there really isn't much that can be done unless, you can find out the owner of the stray.....Sad to say, of course no one will claim the stray....
Talking about strays, we have a few stray cats that seem to live to torment our dogs... The neighbors have two little min pins they let out  unleashed with no fence around them,  all the time and run right up to the fence and yap at our dogs..They actually cross a street to get into our yard.  .The neighbors have threatened to call the law becasue we have vicious dogs that could kill their min pins... DUH......Some people just don't get it.

Moons I hope you don't have too many strays hanging around your girls..

They come in the night,
normally I only scare them off.
Some are more determined and those are the problem.
I do use the kennels but not all the time.

And talking to owners has never been fruitful.

It only takes one.

What I really need is to move away from the progress I cannot stop.
Thought I did that twenty years ago, but it has found me again.

Perhaps I will build a wall this time.
