Many many thanks to Shelley for matching me up with this awesome girl, and many many many thanks to Randy, who not only has entrusted Onni to me but also went above and beyond in helping this poor country girl navigate Washington Reagan Airport. I can't express how much I appreciate you both for all your help and your confidence in me. I will try to not let you down.
Although Onni didn't get on the first or second flight we attempted, the third time was the charm. She arrived in the midst of an ice storm, but it wasn't quite as cold as 20 degrees F so all was well. She arrived safe and sound, along with an American Bulldog on the same flight. We all (my husband and our twin 7 year old boys and I) went to pick her up and drove the long drive back home which took over an hour due to the ice storm. She seemed very happy once we finally got home.
Our cats OTOH are quite upset about the monster who has intruded. Onni is very interested in them, I'm not sure if it's to sniff, play, or eat, but she does lick her lips! I never knew the cats could jump so high as the top of the kitchen cabinets...

Here's a pic of Onni in the Canadian Sieger show, earning VP, last summer. Looking forward to seeing your pix of her with your family soon.

And thanks Shelley for posting those pictures and her info. I'll try to post our pics, but... so far the only one my husband has emailed me has me in it, and boy do I look fat! I dunno, must be something wrong with the camera...
Her first morning, I walked her to the National Forest. It's just on the other side of the house next to ours. But I just had a nightgown on under my coat so we didn't go too far.
Then, for some strange reason, I came down with a severe sore throat. So my kids walked her the rest of that day and most of the second day... unbeknownst to me, they already did the will-she-run-away-if-we-let-her-off-leash test. Fortunately she passed.
I'm on spring break this week so I have more time than usual to spend with her. She's coming to work with me tomorrow to meet a couple of lab pups.

So I've finally got some pics on the computer, I'll try to post one now...
These aren't the ones romping in the snow just yet. This was her first full day here, we took her to my work.

(Notice I'm not showing my fat self??? LOL I still think there's something wrong with the camera, something bizarre that only acts up when I'm in the picture.)
