Escobar

Yeah I know, I´m changing my opinon or more or less reading more and more and researching .

Some of you may remeber my thread about me wanting a dog, and showed some pictures, well I'm now way from that, went to my first show in a long time (5 years) and I saw it really wasn't for me, oh well I'd like to show once or twice but not competitve at least, it's just hectic and not for me, so I've been looking more and more into the working lines.

I first was so afraid that a working dog had to be working non stop, but after reading I learnt that working dogs make a good family dogs as long as they're given basic good care.

Well I'd like your help, pointing out breeders that breed normal GSD, after seeing countless pictures of dogs that just don't seem normal to me, i've turned to the other side if you will

Here I go again showing you pictures of dogs I really like, but first and foremost they've got to be healthy, hips and elbows clear and so on.

This is far from being normal and Newton like

This is what I'm looking at, according to what I read I'm leaning towards East German lines or Czech/Slovak lines. Not sure what the difference is?

Cartagena Baica is such a beautiful dog.

Fly von den Wölfen

SG Garry von der Borngasse

Miro vom Wállerhorst is a pretty pup! A little long in body

Ronta van Noort is a pretty bitch.

I might note that I'd like to be pointed to a website with a succeful breeder that does NOT keep their dogs in a kennel, also if the page is in part or whole in english that would be very good.

Also if you know about breeders that are willing to exchange in emails and knowledge, I emailed one breeder and he was very short and didn't want much to do with me hehe.

It might have something to do with the fact I live on an island that requires 4 weeks quarantine, but I don't care... Just thought I'd put that there.

Then one, thank you all for being so nice and quick to respond to any question I've had.

I really appreciate it and you're helping me making a right and sound decision.

p.s I'd prefer a dog in Europe and it has to be FCI registered.

I have a fairly limited experience with different lines but I have been extremely happy with my workinline dogs from Slovakia.  Both are former kennel dogs but adjusted very well to living in the house...I would NOT limit yourself by making that requirement.  I returned to the same breeder/broker for a bitch I got a few weeks ago and am thrilled.  Both are very balanced dogs strong in their work with an on/off switch.  Good luck with your search!

Melanie

Maybe others are confused like I am. You are asking about DDR/Czech dogs, yet the dogs you posted that you like are either all or quite a bit WG working lines rather than DDR/Czech lines. (Except for the last one, she was WG show lines.)

Alrighty, I maybe confusing you people but what are the lines I just posted called?

Well that's what I'm looking for.
