Fred Lanting, a retired SV judge, invited my wife and I to his home today to meet visiting German breeders Ferdi and Francis van de Kruisweg of http://www.pfalzerheide.com/ . They are as personable and straight forward as anyone I have met in the dog world. The first thing they mentioned about any dog brought up was hip/elbow status.

Francis told me she titled her first SCH. 3 dog at 11 years old.  I would not hesitate to contact them if I was interested in a German dog.

Just for the record, in my search for a German bred bitch, I did a lot of research and contacted 3 U.S. breeders. I guess you guys know your stuff, because the 3 were highly recommended here and all 3 gave me a very honest evaluation of their dogs. If anyone feels they need these names, P.M. me. I would not hesitate to buy from any of these breeders.

I am new here, but not new to German Shepherds. Lots of crooks out there and I'm trying very hard not to make the same mistake again.

My wife and I will be at the NASS and would love to meet some of you folks.

Wonderful to know there are still good referrals out there! I will most likely be at the NASS this year, we'll see you there! I will be looking for a bitch puppy sometime next year I think.
