This is a little video I've made as part of the puppy classes we are going to start running soon.  Thought it would be useful for new dog owners to understand what the legal landscape is around dogs (which can be a little weird at times).  Please feel free to share it, if not to scare people into getting their dogs trained to be polite in public then at least for a chuckle at the expense of politics and the idiosyncrasies of dog legislation.

I so agree with you Fozzie.   Great video.    No matter where you live, a dog owner should make sure the dog behaves in a civilized manner in public, period, no exceptions.  If a person's dog cannot behave in a civilized manner in public, then DO NOT take it in public.   This includes the yappy little foofoo dogs.

@fawndallas - exactly what I'm aiming for. It seems that badly behaved dogs in public have become socially normalised, tolerated and even to a certain extend expected. There is no reason why any dog should be out of control in public!

I especially like the "fouling" fine.  I don't know how many times I clean up after someone else's dog in my own yard.

I agree, if your dog is dangerous or not under your control, then don't take it out in public.  I hate the BSL.  Florida is trying to pass a state law that bans BSL.  Hope it passes.
