Can anyone see any indication of any HEALTH SCREENING TESTS anywhere on this website?

I still think we should wait till after Crufts... it's only been posted since the 14th Feb. At least if we wait till then, we'll know for sure that everyone knows about it!

Such a monstrous animal can only be worshiped by Videx who wishes to put through his views as though he was putting his enormous Butt through the eye of the needle to perdition

I am sure that you have come on here - to this thread - first time you have entered a debate on the board, for your own reasons and they are not for the betterment of the breed or for the goodwill and unity that we have all strived for throughout this post.
You have insulted people and dogs - dragged the thread down to your level of thoughts - which were not constructive, and given no way forward other than to insult each other in public.
Let me tell you something that you obviously dont realise..... there have been many many thoughts throughout this thread, some for the seperation of the two types, some against, and much debate from people putting their time into thinking about it, and wondering how it could be done to best management and without upsetting either side or the Kennel Club.
Tere has been liason by myself and another gentleman from the type that I dont support, and we have managed to become friends and realise that there are two points of reference - the GSd and the Alsatian, and he has written an excellent document towards how it should go forward. This document belongs to him, and will be used by him at the relevant time. All of this from forwaard thinking people
Now - you can join us with your opinion, in an adult fashion, and add to the debate - although I really agree with Patrick that perhaps this particular thread has reached its end...... or you can continue on this board - to which you are a newcomer - and be thoroughly disliked and not an item you wish to talk about will be given any head room from others.
If you are willing to join us, and give your opinion in the corrrect manner, could you state which type you like - if any - and what you would see as an answer to the problem that lies within ourselves.... and perhaps your idea wt could be done. Please dont come on to rant and rave about roach backs or whatever else was upsetting you. You gave me personally the idea that the only thing you had in mind was to have a go at Videx. We dont need that, this debate has come a long wa, and is very important to the future of our breed. Read the above threads if you have time, its a long thread, but there has been a contribution from every thread, negative and positive to get us to where we are now... which is gathering information on the amount of people that are in favour or not in favour so that we can present a convincing document if we have enough support. If not - back to the drawing board. Mo - Mascani.

Surprised was I when I was told " Not important enough to bother about". This was from a guy who I respect as a judge, as a GSD lover and owner and well known in the breed !!! So I had to pusue it with him didnt I . Glad I did, because his reason was that he felt we should not split, but go with every health issue necessary for the GSD - and pressurise the KC into adopting a system whereby this was compulsory (Yeah right) but at least he felt that if we all took good care of the related health issues, the other type as he put it - would be seen to be not conforming, as they dont score, or do elbows etc.
Now before the "other side" eat me alive - I dont know if this is true or not, but would like to know.... and if not - why not? Also, this man has a point, if one side checks health issues and one not on a general basis - that is something that could be seen to bring about the two tier system that has also been mooted.
food for thought again - not my opinion, but an opinin expressed to me yesterday. Debate is good, difffering opinipns are good, becuase it evokes thought and clarity to various items - its only downright rude posts that require no thought and give no clarification. Mo - Mascani.
