Thanks Liz,  keep the support going.... the ballot is going well but slowly, and yes some top kennels are missing.  My guess is that they have won under "all rounder" judges and enter at various shows and win tickets... they then can see a problem in us seperating from Alsatians - but the problem is much bigger if we go down the route of waiting and seeing what the Kennel Club will make of the German Shepherd/Alsatian if given a chance... the new "ever so slightly" changes to the Breed Standard have become print, not for the hell of it, but I believe s a very small opening for other changes

lets face it, the people that have judged at the All Breed Shows and have given tickets to the dogs that I personally favour when it has been a surprise to most of us that favour the GSD type  - would be the ones to decide which side of the fence they lived on, and to give tickets to the GSD would surely tell them.  I have not entered some shows in the past because I have thought I didnt have cat in hells chance with a particular judge that has Alsatians in their kennels, and have done for some years, only to find after the event that really good German Shepherds have been given top honours.  Personally I would like that bit of the roulette wheel taken out of the equasion when we are payhing fat fees to enter shows and the cost of showing is rising every day. Lets go to the shows that we know our breed emulates - not a show where we hope the judge will go "our way".  This is felt on both sides I am sure.

If those judges decide to vote with their feet and become Alsatian fanciers - then we all know were we stand.  wouldnt it be nice for us all to know where we stand...

also wouldnt it b nice for..................................................

members of the public - breeders - judges - committees - breed councils...... puppy buyers - GSD or Alsatian owners - they would even know what breed they had, at present they think the have a German Shepherd /Alsation when in fact they will clearly have one or the other in their home.

Read the show results over the many years - especially from General Championship Shows.

See the number of wins, CC's and RCC's  - They all count when it comes to making up a Champion, They all count in so many ways.

The General Championship Show results over many years proves a very interesting study. Try it.
