To use one criminal conviction, for robbery committed in the heat of
youth, for which he served his time, and when he has since become
a productive citizen who is no threat to anyone, as an excuse for
using him as a pawn in a political trade-off STINKS. Can US
immigration authorities really not find a more suitable candidate for
their list ?
