In light of the tactical 'cleansing' of archived threads that took place as soon as the Bartmess story broke, I ask that Oli consider modifying the 'owner edit' function to prevent future revisions of history. As with other message boards I'm familiar with, there could be a limited window of opportunity to edit one's post, after which the option expires and the post stands as written ever after. Perhaps that would make certain members restrain themselves from making wild accusations, and be more cautious as to who they embrace as a confederate in the future...

It has been done weeks ago. I discussed this with Oli and showed him the examples of this person deleting all their posts. He agreed and changed this weeks ago. You have a limited time and then it is gone. The only people at that time who can change it is a mod or super-mod.
Plenty of things have changed and are still changing, somethings we will announce and others we will not.

Aaah! Hadn't noticed that change, since I typically don't try to edit (or delete) my posts days later. :) Thank you, German shepherd dog for bringing it up to Oli, and thanks to Oli as well for making the change.
