Are dogs still being shipped into the USA from Europe? Any types of delays, extra requirements or other issues because of everything going on?

Anyone else, besides me, having shipping issues within the US due to the lock downs?

I heard nothing until after 5/22 earliest.

Call the airline's pet transport line and they will give you all the information you need.

Thank you Bear. So simply no imports from Europe for a while to come. I bet that is financially hurting a few folks.

I have a bit of an odd scenario for a dog here in the US. I traded a horned cow for a dog that is now in a lock down state. Deal was made before all this big panic really hit the fan here in the US. They were supposed to personally deliver the dog & pick up the cow. They had plenty of time to do this. I am not thrilled about this, as it is a young adult (non GSD) dog that I want my hands on ASAP; so she learns what my wishes for her behavior are, before her own ideas begin to get set in stone inside her doggie brain.

Don't worry about her 'ideas'...if you are any sort of trainer then you can alter/change her behaviour through your own training program. What do you think happens when a trainer, police dept. etc., buys a young adult dog?

No training is better then bad training.
I have one getting shipped to San Diego in a couple weeks hope i can still do it by then.

Flights are being canceled like crazy have had a very hard time with shipping but finally was able to send a pup from CLT to PDX although he did have to stay the night in Dallas at a pet resort then fly to Oregon the next morning. I have heard from both Delta and American Airlines that they will not be shipping pets via Cargo until all this slows down and things go back to normal which is effective April 1st and the deadline could be moved up even sooner.

I talked with AA 2 days ago but all that I’m sure has changed. I don’t need to ship until possibly 4-3 thru 4-10 hope it happens

I cannot ship puppies via air, even within is U.S. - Delta & United have an embargo - and American will only do a flight if it is direct (no connections), so it is nearly impossible to find an airport of origin with a direct flight to the buyer. Resorting to ground transporters at the moment.

Just talked with AA cargo. Dogs are being shipped but on straight flights only as above. I am suppose to ship a dog in a 500 crate from Milwaukee to LA in the next 15days. Zero straight through flights on top of no plane able to ship a dog in a 500 from Chicago to LA. Crazy!!!!!
