@Noitsyou, realist with a very pessimistic view point.  MOST people I know have committed to the training, MOST women I know have taken some form of self defense training and I don't know what dojos you have been to, but I see a even mix of men and women.  In my son's iaijutsu dojo, (art of the Japanese samurai tradition), it is even.

@GSDAdmin, you would appreciate iaijutsu training as in they can cross a large room and cut your hand off before you finish drawing your gun lol.

Look at the world. If it's pessimism then it's the result of reality. But that only applies to the world in general. As far as my life goes I am a very optimistic person. Seriously, I knew the world was in trouble when skinny jeans became a thing and people started calling Kanye West a genius.

Most people you know is not most people. And when I talk about martial arts I should be more specific and say effective martial arts. That training does not appeal to most women or even men. Iaijutsu might be fun but it isn't effective in the real world, especially for women. Also, have taken is not the same as still taking. It is a perishable skill. The schools I have trained in have people who train cops, soldiers and mma fighters, for example. What may or may not have been effective centuries ago for samurai doesn't really apply to the modern world.

I should have added Krav Maga is one of the ones I see even split or in some cases more women.  Last I knew that was an effective style.  I am not in martial arts anymore, to many injuries from career firefighting.

Apparently, that man is simply a combination of low IQ and a gun. What an idiot! There ought'a be a law against that.

My kids have been going out nightly Pokemon hunting and battleing for days! No "stand your ground" laws empowering crazies to "shoot first ask questions later" in CT, thank goodness!

A normal, concerned citizen would have simply picked up a phone and dialed for the police to check the "suspicious" car out.

...except, now,  what if the cops stop coming because they are getting ambushed by hateful mental cases! With guns!
