Just been quoted €2500 to import a 4 mth old pup from a non European country to UK. Seems expensive on top of the €2000 for the pup.

A colleague suggested I drive to France and then take a plane to destination, pick up the pup and fly back to France with pup in cargo, then drive back to the UK. To me that sounds complicated as I would need to go through two customs checks, unload the pup and book on next flight.

Anyone know of cheaper air carriers or an easier suggestion.

Oh, I have not purchased the pup yet. I want to make sure I can get it into this country first before parting with my money.

Please before anyone suggests that I look for a pup in UK. I have looked and I have asked people and there is non of the type that I want.

Believe me, if I could find the type here, I would be more than happy.

Thanks.

Got a message from breeder. He can ship the pup for €700 but that doesn't include the passport or the inoculations. Heck of a lot better than €2500.

Would help to know the country.
€ 2000 is a lot for a puppy, just saying...
Good luck

2000 € for a pup? And the price doesn´t include passport and vaccinations?
700 € for shipping a pup is normal price.
