This evening when I let my male shepherds out to go potty, my youngest male Aaron brought me back an adult cottontail rabbit he killed (didn't realize he had caught or killed anything til he brought it to me.) Nice large one, maybe 4.5 lbs?
I don't mind my dogs killing small wild game, I think it's a worthwhile skill to have, plus our neighborhood is overrun with rabbits and squirrels. I dressed this rabbit, cut it into pieces and put them in the freezer. I'll feed it to my dogs later.
When I figure out how to use my phone provider's photo album service, I'll post a pic I took of the rabbit before dressing it.
(I just have to hope no skunk wanders into our yard in the darkness when I can't see and therefore don't know to call my dogs back
)
