Ad flooding - is that annoying or what? - Page 1

Don't people realize that posting ten or fifteen ads for the same dog does not help them sell it any quicker, or at all. It is annoying to say the least, to see ad after ad for a dog, eg. Hoss Fountain Blue. Count up the ads, including the ones with the different heading. It's like a bad joke. Hey, buddy, if someone is interested they don't need to read the same ad ten or twenty times. People might begin to wonder why you can't sell the dog with one ad or a second a few weeks later? Give us all a break and stop flooding the board. It's like spam. And please don't bore me with the "I had to change something, etc." Write it out first, check it, then post it. Ahhhhh. I feel better now.

I agree with OldTimer on flooding. Perhaps if a small nominal fee was charged to post an ad (let's say "$5") it would eliminate the flooding of the board. The fees could support the cost of maintaining the board. This could pay for repairing, improving, and updating the site so that it would not be offline ever again for months! Also so that pictures could again be posted on ads; results of shows could be updated befor the dogs all retire... For a free site we are all getting a bargain. I would gladly pay a membership fee or advertising fee to improve the site and would hope that others would feel the same way.

I'm with you all the way trysil. This multiple posting seems so common that I keep on thinking there must be some ulterior motive! Dispose of any competing ads?

I think everyone ought to agree to refuse to click on any ad that is posted more than once and that might stop the practice in it's tracks. It will only work if everyone participates. It's more than annoying, it's rude because it pushes some of the other ads off the main page which is unfair.

I wish the site has a function where you can ignore certain ads.
