Finger lickin good...................

I want to begin a flock and wonder how mine will handle it, these dogs haven't had the chance yet so we'll see how it goes.
I won't be able to let them free range at first anyway, plus I'll need netting to keep the hawks at bay.

I love having chickens..  They all have their own personalities.. And it's nice never having to buy eggs!! LoL

I always sold enough fresh eggs to pay for feeding mine and yes nothing's better than farm fresh eggs.....you know what your getting.
I can't believe what they are selling as grade A large eggs these days.
I had a Rhode Island Red that layed green eggs once...probably some out cross breeding going on at the hatchery...lol
But all my heavy hens layed Grade A large... the real deal.

This is the range of eggs I get.. Your hen must have had some Ameracunua (spelling) or Easter eeger in her, they lay green, to blue hued eggs.. I have 2 that lay a light olive colored egg..

What did you do go take pictures....lol
I was almost going to log off...

It's hard to tell size without a better reference, but the one looks like a turkey egg.

Green olive...all the same sorta...yeah sometimes breeders out cross.

Round eggs do not get grade A status.
I never wash fresh eggs or refrigerate them.
