Still, do you care how many other politicians are tax felons, an otherwise victimless crime which seems not even to be prosecuted? What about all the "suspicious" things Obama has done like refusing by executive order to enforce multiple laws passed by Congress, killing our enemies without a trial including an American citizen, unconfirmed political appointments, crony capitalism and so on? Even if Obama is re-elected he may be subject to impeachment. These violations of his office are known, not just suspected. Wouldn't it be considered a double standard to ignore all this but worry about possible tax evasion?
By the way, OT forum rules state multiple user names will not be allowed. In any case, if a member chooses not to be recognized, why not leave it alone?

Killing our enemies without a trial? Are you referring to a man who killed thousands of Americans in NYC?

Reporters covering Washington for newspapers owned by McClatchy recently spent three months trying to obtain tax returns from all 100 members of the Senate and all 435 House members.
But only 17 either released their returns or provided similar data, according to a July 18 McClatchy article.
Looks like the tax records of members of the Senate may not be a matter of public record?

And again, not to blur up the issue of the Columbia records, but this list may very well constitute criminal malfeasance on the part of the U.S. government (i.e., keeping in mind that BO is an honorless man and therefore would not have the slightest concern for the Constitutional implications):
1) the original, long-form 1961 Hawaiian birth certificate.
2) Marriage license between Obama’s father (Barak Sr.) and mother (Stanley Ann Dunham)— not found, not released
3) Obama’s baptism records — sealed
4) Obama’s adoption records — sealed
5) Records of Obama’s and his mother’s reptriation as US citizens on return from Indonesia — not found, not released
6) Name change (Barry Sotero to Barack Hussein Obama) records — not found, not released
7) Noelani Elementary School (Hawaii)— not released
Punahou School financial aid or school records — not released
9) Occidental College financial aid records — not released.(These records were, however, subpoenaed but Obama lawyers succeeded in quashing the subpoena in court. No other Occi records have been released.)
10) Columbia College records — not released
11) Columbia senior thesis — not released
12) Harvard Law School records - not released
13) Obama’s law client list — sealed
14) Obama’s files from career as an Illinois State Senator — sealed
15) Obama’s record with Illinois State Bar Association — sealed
16) Obama’s medical records — not released
17) Obama’s passport records — not released
All sealed against the American people.
And BTW, sealing your background history is not the same thing as some phony issue about income and how much tax was paid on it.
Rather, a documented history has to do with the critical understanding of an American President and how that individual is likely to conduct himself while in office, — which unlike liberals would have it, is an entirely different deal altogether

Yes Keith, A true statement if they were not true. Here are a few of the latest
When the Manchurian Moonbat promised us that “Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency,” he must have meant it in some sort of Orwellian sense. 10 things Obama has refused to release:
10. State senate papers.
9. Academic transcripts.
8. Book proposal.
7. Medical records.
6. Small-dollar donors.
5. The Khalidi tape.
4. The real White House guest list.
3. Countless FOIA requests.
2. Health reform negotiations.
1. Fast and Furious documents.

one way romney pays less taxes is that he has (after tax) investments and lives off dividents (same as warren buffet). this type of income is taxes lower tax bracket..... these investments create jobs!.. good for both of them!
another way he pays less taxes is that he gives 19% to charities further reducing his tax burden.....which cannot be said of Obama, Biden, Buffet or many others..
do you people know anyting about tax law?

Warren Buffett gives away his fortune
FORTUNE EXCLUSIVE: The world's second richest man - who's now worth $44 billion - tells editor-at-large Carol Loomis he will start giving away 85% of his wealth in July - most of it to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Would you care to explain to the class how many jobs Romney has created in the past 10 years or how his "investments" in off shore accounts for which he pays foreign taxes that he then deducts from his U.S. tax bill create jobs here in this country. Oh, yeah, that's right; they don't. But hey, go ahead and vote for him even though he espouses a plan that will raise your taxes by a couple of thousand dollars a year while giving an average additional annual tax cut to the "job creators" who create no jobs of more than your house is worth because hey, at least he's white. Right?
I get that you people aren't well educated, that you aren't good at math and that you think our government should be a theocracy but seriously, you're willing to pay an extra couple of grand a year because being a bigot is that important to you?
