I kind of wish this thread would just die.

Moons -- I'm sure you can still find a memorial service somewhere, but this internet forum thread is not, never was, and should never be, that.

Not judging Blitzen, I learned that years ago through my own experiences.

Carlin,
I am pretty sure that was the exact reason this thread was started by admin. The admin started this not as a thread to trash a dead person and their lifestyle but to remember a talented HUMAN BEING. Whether you agree with the persons lifestyle was not even a consideration when this thread started. It was simply meant as a remembrance to a great talent, not a condemnation of a lifestyle. Whether you agree or not that was the true meaning of this thread.
Moons excellent points and it does go back to respecting the dead. It is all about respect and manners. Something very lacking in this country.

In case you have some reading comprehension issues, there has only been one person to "trash" WH in this thread. The notion that an internet forum thread should double as some kind of hallowed memorial for a person that none of the contributing posters has, to my knowledge ever met, is ridiculous. How a person is remembered, for better, or worse, is a matter of opinion. Last time I checked, that was still allowed in the Unites States. Last time I checked, no one is forced to continue to click on a thread if they are upset by said opinions.

So, why keep clicking on a thread you don't like? The next time we will put a warning to make sure it is kept on topic and to help others see what the topic is about.
If you don't like WH or her lifestyle quit clicking and commenting. Simple.

I don't "dislike" WH. I don't have any issue with the thread either. Not sure why you would think so in either case. You may need an new hobby if you can't keep things strait.

It is very amusing to me how those who present the most religious facades are often those with the sharpest tongues. Would that be considered hypocracy or just human nature? Pick one.....I can't decide.

Your first post.
"Somewhat tragic; all that talent, fame and money. I have always wondered why so many of the greatest artists have passed on so young. I suppose it could be that upon the exhaustion of all of one's hopes, dreams, desires, and whimsy, the exposed reality of an empty, utterly purposeless existence is overwhelming. On another note, when "regularly scheduled programming" was interrupted last night during what I think was primetime in the east, I had to wonder why this womans life was so much more significant than those of the Sudanese, Syrian, Somalians, etc., that I needed to be informed immediately. "
Common sense tells me that people want to know about her because she touched lives through her music. Sudanese, Syrian, Somalians--probably not mentioned because they are not a great musical talent. Not even sure what this first post is about but if you want to discuss Sadanese, Syrian or Somalians start your own thread.
Another post
"Person "A" is completely self centered, while person(s) "B" risks the ultimate sacrifice. WH's "contribution" is consequential at best, and amounts to little more than some kind of estrogen fueled emotional therapy session."
Really???
A post about Christians and a post about sorry to hi-jack this thread.
Oh well I am sure the OP admin will be along later to get this thread back on topic. A topic of rememberance and musical talent.

Ohhhhh, it's all about being on topic. For a moment there I was beginning to think it was about a difference of opinion...silly me. On another note, just imagine the potential of being able to have an objective opinion of someone without it being personal.
