One thing in particular I'd like to add at this point. Your arguement that there are no Atheists in foxholes couldn't be further from the truth. Atheists who know that they've paid honor to the only life they believe they were given, are surely going to their grave happy. That's THEIR morality right there!
My reply I have never used the phrase there are no Athiests in fox holes. You must have me mixed up with someone else. I give honor to all our soldiers Christian and atheist alike.
Im certainly glad that you are basicly a good person, but let me ask you one simple question. If that was me writing that about myself,I would immediately recieve some replies, that its all about you isnt it.
I cant work my self to heaven, neither can anyone else. Do you you realize GSDtravels that Im probably a bigger sinner than you, because I have studied scripture for many years, but still my flesh leads me astray at times. My good deeds are like filthy rags if I thought they would get me to heaven. Christ did it all He took the punishment for me and everyone that believes in him. The only difference between you and I is I believe,You do not. We are both sinners.
Mayby some day we can become friends in Christ
What a wonderfull day that would be.

For GSD (admin) regarding your earlier question on race, here's an interesting article: http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aig/race-definition.html
For all of us:
Sin includes not just actions, but also thoughts, so everyone sins:

If the founders actually held the same beliefs as Gouda and Shtal, it is glaringly obvious that it would have been written into the laws, explicity and in detail. They were careful not to EXCLUDE religion but they tried to make clear it was not the same as the laws of civility, it's a PERSONAL choice. Why must you erect Holy symbols on public property, forcing those who don't believe, to act like they DO believe? And when anyone objects, you cry persecution, when there's a Church in the same block with a beautiful Nativity in the yard. Then you try to force by majority, when that was the OPPOSITE of the REAL reason this country was founded. How would you feel if every person who saw this agreed with it and it spread like wildfire? How would you feel if others saw that it wasn't necessarily evil to be without religion? That is wasn't the same as "worshiping evil"? And all of a sudden the tables turned. What if they started printing "There's NO God" on YOUR currency? Can you imagine? WE CAN! Do we think it was an accident that "under God" was inserted just before "indivisible" in the Pledge of Allegiance? Did it ever occur to you that "under God" negates "indivisible"? But then you scream when Atheists won't comply and repeat such a treasonous phrase? And the President of the United States of America actually states that he "...doesn't consider Atheist citizens, let alone Patriots?" Are you starting to see the hypocricy? Sadly, probably not. We've been quietly living among you since long before Christianity. We stand up for your rights, we applaud them, while you trample on ours in smug righteousness!
The funny thing is, it's the Atheists who used to be pretty tolerant of religion, until they were forced to pledge allegiance to it morning, noon and night, when to them, it's a lie. If the majority were Atheists, they would leave the religious alone, to pray privately, to your God, in peace. You aren't a threat to them, in the unbelief, you're a constant annoyance and smug about it, make LIFE ON EARTH a hell for others. You wouldn't threaten them as long as you left them alone to NOT believe. They really do want to live in peace, trust me. The BELIEVE this is the only chance they have of that and you continue to make it impossible to be the best it can be, in TRUE PEACE. Can you not see that? This is the best place to insert that question you always ask of us: WHAT IF YOU'RE WRONG!
The ownership of PERSONAL values should be respected, as long as it is within the confies of the law. The Christians, over time, have inserted religion into government, claiming it to be Constitional. Two examples, in particular, are the Pledge of Allegiance and "In God We Trust" on our minted coins. The men who share the face of those very coins would be appalled to have their likeness etched in the same space as such a phrase. They understood the danger and supposed that they were clear enogh to convey it. But you twist the words like they're as obscure of the ones in the Bible and you snciker in smug satisfaction of your victories, when in reality, you should be ashamed. Not a single person objects to beautiful displays on church property or on private property.
Now I, PERSONALLY, am not offended by Christian displays, because they are part of my history. I was raised in a Christian setting and the majority of that setting was loving and positive. These are my symbols as well, even with the religious signifigance. But I also understand why it would be offensive to those who were raised in a different way. It's not their history, it's not their beleif. It means nothing to them and makes them feels like they need to hide that FACT, because Christians are not exactly kind to our "ilk".
BTW, there is a Church in the Community that I recently moved back to after an 11 year absence. The main artery through here is a State Highway and when I moved away, I still had to pass through here to get in to the City and Close southern neighborhoods. Anyway, they have a live Nativity every year on Christmas Eve and it still stirs enough emotion in me to bring tears to my eyes. It's the parts of Christianity I liked. The parts where people were being peaceful, kind, caring. I haven't lost those parts, but I will never accept the others. Sorry.

Gouda, please do not insult the intelligence of anyone with a brain at this point. I'm not writing the Bible, I'm not asking you for your interpretation of my words, I know what I wrote. I made it perfectly clear that it's about me when it comes to ME and it's about you, when it's comes to YOU. That's pretty much the definition of privacy. You're so used to interpreting because nothing you read is concrete, that you can no longer tell the difference. You've gotten so used to using straw men your thought processes are outside the realm of reality, as others see it. Maybe that makes you a Mystic and if so, have at it. But for HEAVEN'S sake, leave us heathens in peace, that's all we ask.

If I bother you so much, why then do you read what I have to say? There are thousands of other subjects, pick one you like and leave me alone.
No one is forcing you to even talk to me.Why are you doing it,please answer that question.
Allow me to ask you a simple question,do you use drugs or drink a lot of alcohol,im not accusing you,Im just asking. Im asking, because you have short periods of time that yuo are fairly civil and may I say nicer than normal. It seems to last just so long, than you go back to being your old self. Ive had experience with people like that
working in a soup kitchen for street and homeless people in the city of Oshawa when I lived there many years ago. Im definately not accusing you of doing any of that, just asking out of curiousity.
