CopDogs....That is what I agree with.  If you feel the need to do something, do that.  Fly in town and show up and voice your opinion and take copies of whatever you can get to help a case.  Sitting on the internet and complaining does nothing in my eyes.  Talk is cheap.  I know VM and a few others have actively done stuff to contact authorities and D.A.'s to help and great.

But to others who rather just keep stirring the empty pot hoping to be heard is just talking shit from a safe place.

Wow, I have been too busy with school to keep up with everything online. I had no idea Hans took off and started his own forum. If I had I, probably would have joined. Knowing that he is OK with Janice posting there, I want nothing to do with the forum or buying a puppy from him in the future. Sorry but I can only see him wanting to get his hooks in her (rare) bloodlines and I wont support that with my posts or finances. He may not be up to anything fishy but I have to go with my gut and by his actions or inactions, my gut says to stay away.

Freedome of speach is one thing but criminals should lose rights not gain more. This country is ass backwards in many ways, as beautiful as it is in others.

Giving JANICE  Bartmess a soapbox from which to preach is NOT enabling 'freedom of speech'...it is giving her yet another opportunity to prey upon someone else's naiveté as she blinds them to her true character by spinning her tales of DDR dog she has known, fantastic breedings she does, eclectic research she's conducted and so forth.  Trust, when presented with such a venue to build a new following, she WILL find another gullible fool who will help her gain access to more dogs, and in short order she will once again be in possession of dogs that she will once again abuse and neglect--she has shown herself to be too mentally unbalanced to be able to change her behaviors, so it is unquestionable that any dogs or people who find themselves in her care in the future will suffer as those who had previously been under her care have done.

I'm disappointed if Hans would confuse 'freedom of speech' with permitting evil to have a voice--would he permit evocation of the benefits of the Soviet bloc system because, after all, it was that very political climate that helped create the Czech GSD? I somehow doubt that. As for his wanting access to the 'rare' genetics that Bartmess claims to have, I find that supposition suspect at best; he has chosen to work with the bloodlines he knows, the ones that are in his heart, and those are Czech dogs, not DDR.

And Ace952,  it's JANICE  Bartmess.  Not Janet.  And yes, it DOES make a difference--the woman does not accept responsibility for any of the things she's done, so it is important that the correct name is used in discussing anything having to do with her and her actions in order to refute her claims to the contrary.

Sock Puppet, WTF has gotten into your shorts?  Whether you agree with Lady Frost or not gives you NO excuse to be rude, to speculate on her activity or accuse her of anything.  I'm disgusted by your snarky comments, frankly; what do you REALLY know of her work schedule or activities? What do you REALLY know about her marital status or social life?  NOTHING, I believe, unless you actually know this individual *personally*--after all, anyone can claim to be anything they want (or anyone they want) on the 'Net.  I wonder that the Moderators haven't taken you to task for the attacks you're making on Lady Frost in this thread, actually.

Hexe...No one has given her a soapbox to express her views on animal abuse.  If I am wrong please correct me.

If Hans wants to ban her thats his business but doing it b/c a number of people say what he should do on his own forum is what strikes a nerve with me.  I just personally don't like the idea of a grown man or grown woman doing something because others say it should be done to please them and keep their friendship.

Hans is free to do as he wants, I'm just sayin' it is going to affect his business and reputation.

Hans can do what he pleases. It's his forum and is subject to his whims. I personally don't care what he does, but it makes me dislike him more...not that I'm not so naive as to think he gives a rat's patoot what I think of him.

I feel very uncomfortable with the personal attacks directed towards Lady Frost and don't think they contribute to the topic of this thread.

I'm also interested in learning about the criteria used to determine the Hot Topics. The thread that Lady Frost refers to about Hans and the black puppy has 138 replies (http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/forum/50383.html?mnr=50383) (so in the top 6?).

If Hans doesn't want to ban Janice then perhaps he could consider requiring everyone to use their real name, like the Working Dog Forum does. This way you have a better idea of who you are interacting with and taking advice from. Yes, someone could use a fake name but the world is very small; the dog world even smaller. I appreciate that many folks on this forum have shared their real names.
