Two Moons

by Two Moons on 12 January 2014 - 14:01

Well I'm not gonna dwell on Henry Ford, but he was much more than that.

We don't need production lines?
That's great, Americans should just flip burgers and stock shelves then, serve the wealthy, cook and clean to make their lives better.

There is already a growing private space industry by the way.

Being a leader has nothing to do with a dictator, just the opposite.
The (prez) is supposed to lead the nation , not just rubber stamp what comes down the Pike.

I'm not surprised that it's hard to visualize a leader, we haven't seen one in far too long.
Hell maybe never, they have all had their dark sides, but some did better than others.

This is a country of people, the other side doesn't want you to think that way, and they have succeeded quite well in doing so.

Christie is still a freaking joke....

And one thing a great leader knows is you take your case to the people, not shove it down their throats.

Moons, I don't have trouble visualizing a president, but I cannot visualize the non person you listed.
Yes, we don't need production lines...our "leaders" allowed them to go to other countries. So, yes, that's about all that's left in this country...texting, flipping burgers made of meat from china and stock shelves with Chineese production line products.
It's good tot be wealthy..I can visualize what it would be like.

Is this sarcasm, I'm not sure at this point.
The audio ad's are not helping at all.

Just try to visualize someone with a little strength of character. who has a brain and perhaps some honest dignity.
I dunno.
Something besides the usual suspects.

Put it this way, I don't want someone who needs the job or wants to get wealthy. So already being wealthy by earning it honestly,is a plus. Anyone who has become wealthy by his own brains is a plus. Indicates he knows how to organize and get people to accomplish his goals. Which means he has people he listens to. Also, a wealthy person already has power, so that won't be a motivation. He needs to be patriotic and want the best for this country, without turning it into his toy. A person who already has all the toys money can buy won't be overwhelmed by sudden amenities provided as president. He therefore can think clearly and won't be awestruck by sudden fame and success. It will be work as usual and he will have a LOT to loose if he screws up. after all, the self-made wealth is hard-earned and can be taken away faster than accrued.

I've never known a wealthy man who didn't have a guilty conscience, nor one who didn't want more.
The term patriot has kind of lost it's meaning for me but I like the basic principle yes.

I think we are both looking for someone who doesn't exist, and even if such a person did exist the system would not allow them access.

Our next president will be pretty and wealthy and very much bought and sold, that is the reality.
We'll still have the same old faces in both houses and the same old business as usual.

Anyway,
I gotta run, catch you later....:)

Puppet, low maintenance, will travel.

by vk4gsd on 12 January 2014 - 21:01

is there actually a single qualification required to be the commander in chief of the most high tech and potentially destructive army humans have ever known. is there even any sort  mental or moral health screening, i mean cops, teachers, firemen....etc  have to be subjected to such tests all the time.

i think the most powerful person on earth should have to undergo some evaluation, i have seen speeches by bush, that guy is a buffoon with low intelligence, drug/alcohol induced brain damage, demonstrated history of low morals....clearly not well in the head, please do not do that to us - the rest of the world - again, you yanks gotta stop thinking you are the only people that count on the planet and that the planet is your play-toy.
