Moons, thanks for correcting me. I think I knew what a blue moon was once upon a time...lol ... I guess I wasn't listening too closely to the news guy! Well, we had a rather large, pale orange STURGEON moon last night. Quite nice!

Don't be going too literal and start parsing me on my posts. I took liberties with your "prophet" analogy and progressed it into "sainthood" for ol' Joe. Meaning, if he, a known big mouth, left USA for Mexico, that man is no Mose's or about to be put on a pedestal. You said that's what you Aussie's have done. Makes you all cry!  Same with  Snowden. By next year when the Russian's clock runs out, it will be, "Who wants this loser, now? Please, somebody take him!"

 

Bee - have more for you later on your melting pot idea, but there is no short answer, because not all melting pots are the same, and they don't exist, get this, in a vacuum, lol.

The trick about getting the masses willingly accepting of their own exploitation, works because they hope to make the leap to the elite and this dream must be kept alive. Now, Is this why, or the what of that ---- hmm, that "public" vacuum "they" don't want to talk about?

You're right moons, but I do wish more people would say it, and keep saying it.

Moons, you are funny. Aren't you an "ordinary" American? Of course you wouldn't want to talk about it! LOL I must be extraordinary! Sure beats some other topics that keep being rehashed around here! If you saying I "must be stirred" means something not boring me to death, then you got it! You won't ever fill us in on the answer to the Universe even though you are forever telling us you have heard it all before. We only ever get to hear the same things, I truly believe that, but the order is never the same for anyone. That is just how the game is rigged.

So, if you want to go bravely where no ordinary man has gone before, do wade into the Public Vacuum Discourse! I can't wait! Carlin, please go first! 

But politics and money are never going to fill what is essentially a public vacuum that is moral, philosophical and spiritual. .... Not many ordinary Americans talk about this vacuum.
