Two Moons, if you have an eleven-year old with a "rubrik"* in hand, only an hour before bedtime, Wikipedia is a godsend.

There are things one believes in but can not prove, there things we should believe in even if we do not understand at the moment. Muslims believe Quran is the words of God, messages from God to prophet Mohammad were written down then collected in a book and then reprinted the same through all the past years by the will of God.
It is a human instinct to believe in God, in a weak moment you plead to God. In Quran Jesus who is called Eissa is mentioned in various places, telling the story how he was born from Maryam without her getting pregnant from a male by the will of God (he himself is not God neither son of God), he was created by the will of God, he was born with knowledge provided from God and .....God is not born and does not die.
Muslims believe in all prophets including Eissa (Jesus). Muslims, as per Quran, believe that prophet Eissa will return back before the end of the world and all believers will follow him, Muslims, Christians, Jews and whatever, true believers from those shall follow him. Muslims believe God created the world in 7 days, how and why does not matter since God says so, maybe science one day will explain how. Why were the human beings created, God says to worship him, like it or not it is God's wish. Muslims believe there will be heaven and hell, who lived as per the commands of God shall go to heaven and the rest to hell, not all Muslims, Christians etc will go to either one, the true believers who believed in him and behaved accordingly will go to heaven.
I am not the best to write on religion as I never took the interest to deeply study and practice it but I believe in God, all prophets and believe practicing its core is the best for human in life and afterwords.

Add: where from do we get our values? (such as tell the truth, hurt no one, do not kill, do not steal.)
we get them from religions and without them societies would become ill.

Ibrahim, I'm glad you put that so eloquently and without malice! Who could argue with you or fault you for simply explaining your religion while giving respect to others? You're a true gentleman

My reply--- In Heb.1:8-9 Jehovah saith to his son,Thy throne,O GOD,is forever and ever:a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thow hast loved righteousness, and hated iniguity;therefore God even thy God,hath anointed thee with oil of gladness above the fellows. It all started in Genesis. Mohammad comes along centuries later and disputes the scriptures.
Talking about Christ John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him,and the world knew him not.
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them,Verily, verily,I say unto you,Before Abraham was,IAm ex.3:14. Does Mohammad call Jesus a liar?
Is God a liar? The things that Mohammad wrote that God told him is alltogether different than what God said in the old and new Testament.
Here is a verse to consider. Heb.1:1 God,who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the Fathers by the Prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,whom he hath appointed heir of all things,by whom also he made the worlds.

Thank you Ibrahim.
It is wonderful to hear someone speak up who has different beliefs and very refreshing.
Society is ill Ibrahim, and I believe we are born with the knowledge of right from wrong.
Yet we are not all equal in this, some have better information than others, and there are other outside influences on our values.
Religion is one certainly, but there are those who are pure and without sin who know not religion but choose this path themselves.
Anyway I'm glad you posted.

Abrahim,GSDtravels,Redsable.
Galations 1:8-9
But though we,or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you,let him be accursed.
9--As we said before,so say I now again,If any man preach any other gospel unto you that that ye have received, let him be accurced.
10--For do I now persuade men,or God? or do I seek to please men?for if I yet pleased men,I should not be a servant of Christ.
Paul says let any creature who perverts the gospel be ANATHEMA doomed, cut off, cursed by God.
While Christians should be leaders in courtesy and cordiality, our attitude towards teachers of false gospels must be one of sacred hostility. Cordiality here is forbidden and misguided.
Igot to do what I have to do.

gouda,
You spoke using changed words and this too is forbidden.
I wouldn't wanna be standing in your shoes right now.
Your hostility shows your fault.
