Sunsilver,

Glad someone else has some common sense. It is obvious that 99% of this countries problems stem from the riches super greed and income equality. That is why debate on the minimum wage will be a big part of the next election.

Try to live on minimum wage sometime.
I see it as nothing more than an election tool.
Kid's and second income, that's all minimum wage is for.

We need real jobs, fair wages, get rid of these temporary agencies for starters.
Stop buying imported crap.
Get rid of the FED.
Let the market operate free without subsidies and price fixing, supply and demand.

I'm not Catholic, but I am becoming quite fond of the current pope. Hey, what animal lover couldn't like the guy who chose to follow St. Francis, the patron saint of animals?  Teeth Smile

I've heard a lot of stories of the American poor who work ridiculous hours, and still cannot make ends meet. This just is not right!

Sunsilver,
it's not just Americans...
One look at the third world should show you what greed can do.

Prayer of St. Francis, one of my favourite pieces of Christian music:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOvQLMfppN8

Make me a channel of Your peace
Where there is hatred let me bring
Your love
Where there is injury
Your pardon, Lord
And where there's doubt
true faith in You

Make me a channel of Your peace
Where there's despair in life
let me bring hope
Where there is darkness, only light
And where there's sadness, ever joy

Oh, Master grant that I
may never seek
So much to be consoled
as to console
To be understood
as to understand
To be loved as to love
with all my soul

Make me a channel of Your peace
It is in pardoning that we are
pardoned
In giving to all men that we receive
And in dying that we're born to
eternal life

Oh, Master grant that I
may never seek
So much to be consoled as to console
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love with all my soul

Make me a channel of Your peace
Where there's despair in life
let me bring hope
Where there is darkness, only light
And where there's sadness, ever joy
