I got lucky today!  No, not that, get your mind out of the gutter! Omg Smile  After an absence of almost 200 years, bald eagles have returned to Pittsburgh.  Our Eagle Cam is one of the most popular, with three fledglings.  The nest is about three miles from my house, overlooking the Monongahela River where they fish for food.  The community I work in is just a couple of miles upriver and I've seen the adults flying recently, but didn't have my camera handy or they were too high to focus in time.  Today, I spotted one of the fledglings catching air and had my camera ready.  I got a few shots and this one was the best.  The first one fledged last Friday and the third one today, so they're just out of the nest.  Here's my baby...

Well , I took time out of the yard, watching birds, squirrels, gophers, and ants run around and flowers needing water and

spent an hour baking a new recipe of BLUEBERRY PIE....

this recipe had Balsamic vinegar, sugar, honey, vanilla extract , cornstarch , a pinch of salt and a dash of BLACK PEPPER>..

Here is a picture of the finished product..too late to sample so will know tomorrow how it tastes.

\Beautiful Susie;;;; Love the outdoors....here in East Texas the sun is getting so hot the flowers have to be Drought tolerant which my geraniums seem to be doing best...begonias and million bells but they all have to have water every other day or so...I refuse to use my sprinkler system as it drowns things in 5 mins..

I am amazed at my Passion flower which I just found a new natural pain reliever which has Passion flower and California Poppy and several other flowers in it, for neurophathy pain..

It grows wild and I am intregued by it..

The blueberry pie I posted earlier is delicious...It is the best recipe I ever made...

For the RECIPE  buy the June 2014 issue of Southern Living Magazine , and it is on the cover and the recipe is called Honey Balsamic Blueberry Pie on page 98-99.

I had Never put vinegar in a berry pie before  ...be ready for the BEST pie you ever made.
